X Factor 2010: Cheryl Cole lets Treyc Cohen and Gamu Nhengu go
Twitter has been a buzzing with discontented souls tonight and most of them seem to be furious with Cheryl Cole, for failing to put Gamu Nhengu through to the live shows next week.
As one of our followers so nicely put it:
‘Cheryl Cole can’t even pick her nose properly!”
The ‘Promise This’ singer has chosen single mum Rebecca Ferguson, Madonna lookalike Katie Waissel and flakely hoarse Cher Lloyd as her final three, leaving behind the immensely talented Gamu Nhengu and the gorgeous Treyc Cohen.
Breaking the news to Gamu, Cheryl said:
“I thought you were adorable, I got you, I loved how you performed. You are adorable and you have a great voice.”
But all that adorability just wasn’t enough. Cheryl continued:
“For right now it’s a no, I’m sorry I can’t take you any further. You need to keep going and get some experience.”

I think after Cheryl’s experience with Ashley Cole, She decided to punish people of a certain colour close to Ashley’s. What other reason can you find for her choices. She might take us all for mugs if she thought for one second that she won’t get a buck lush for these ridiculous decisions.Someone remind Cheryl that form is temporary but Talent last forever, These girls she’s blocking now will somehow find there way to fame because they are talented end of.

What is Cheryl thinking about to choose Katie over Gamu? Perhaps she should ensure she’s completely recovered and let Nicole continue the great job she was doing. She wouldn’t have been conned by Katie’s obvious ploy to play on Cheryl’s emotions. Unless Gamu is the wild card, I will not bother watching the x factor anymore. Thought the show was going to be a good one with Matt, Mary, One Direction, Aidan, Rebecca, Cher, Belle Amie and could only be Gamu with these – didn’t mind who else after that! But….no Gamu, no x factor!!

she WILL get booed bad if she picks TreyC over Gamu. there a Facebook page suporting Gamu with 26k in less than 4 hours. whereas Treyc has nothing same in youtube gamu has got millions of views whereas T has none.
What is the whole point of the judges houses auditions!? Katie was c**p, and cher didnt even sing her song and they both got through!! I wont be watching this year as it is already annoying me. Gamu was so much better than katie drama queen and weirdo. people will soon get bored of chers “original” singing too. Will she do a stupid rap for every song?
Nicole was a much better judge than cheryl is, they should have kept her instead of the increasingly annoying “nations sweetheart” and her crying.

I cannot believe that Gamu and Treye didnt get through! Its a travesity! What is Cheryl like…..Katie was such a drama queen at her audition and although I was sorry that Cher’s audition was not great…Gamu and Treye should have been in the final 3. I have no problem with Rebecca her audition was awesome! It has completely put me off watching X Factor…its all gimics and stories and the true talent doesnt get through!
I am sorry – although out of all the judges – Cheryl is the one that has actually been through this experience – she cannot see talent if it came up and bit her in the bum. I think madonna look-a-likey is very annoying and quite fake.. there is no real oomph in her. Gamu had that quiet energy – that if given the chance – she would have blossomed…She had that ooomph – bring on Gamu!

Unbelievable!! I’ve followed X Factor online from the U.S. for years and this was the worst judging I’ve ever seen out of this show. Cheryl robbed Trey C and Gamu. Absolutely regrettable. And I hope that those two young ladies find themselves at the top of the charts!
TreyC is great and all, but I was rooting for Gamu from the beginning. Can we just removed Cher Lloyd and Katie because we all know they are not going to win. What’s Cher going to do when she has to sing, she can’t rap the whole way through. Katie is a wannabe Madonna, we already have loads of those.

The whole show was a msitake.
Well we were hugely disappointed that Gamu did not get in, she was our reason for viewing every week. Since she was not put in and Cheryl obviously should not have gotten the girls, we have no real reason to tune in any further. What a shame. At least Gamu could look at her audiance. Rebecca hasn’t even opened her eyes to see who she’s singing too. Cher couldn’t even sing @ the judges’ house, yet Cheryl seemed to see potential in someone who hadn’t even sung. I guess this is why Cheryl is coming to the US as the UK doesn’t seem to care for her talent either.
i live at the US and I LOVE the xfactor. I think Gamu got something there and what the HECK is Cheryl thinking? She is obviously Not full recovered! So NOT voting for Cher or the madonna lookalike copycat. Oh so mad!!!

The decision made by Cheryl has got to be the worst seen throughout the years of watching X Factor.Cher did not sing and how can she posiibly get through.Based on what?As far as Katie is concerned,twice she had to restart her song.No talent whatsoever and yet so many fantastic singers to choose from.The whole country can see that.Therefore Cheryl has to go.She cannot make such a simple decision and she calls herself a judge.I firmly believe Simon needs to act and get rid of Cheryl.
Personally I’m quite indifferent to Gamu, though I agree she would’ve been waaay better than Katie. That girl just pisses the crap out of me; she’s only in it for the fame and it’s so obvious.

Cheryl should be ashamed of herself. I think she is prejudiced because Gamu is from Zimbabwe. Just because she married Ashley Cole does not mean she isn’t discriminatory. As a judge she as a responsibly to act above her own prejudices and act fairly, this is clearly not the case.
I can’t believe Gamu wasn’t picked. Lets hope she’s the wild card as she was really in with a chance to be the winner this year.

Cheryl is clearly not over her breakdown (malaria my foot!!). Katie hides behind her quirky look whilst sounding like a constipated duck and cheryl does a really bad attempt at rapping whilst not being able to actually sing. If she turns every song into a rap people are going to get very bored very quickly.
I was a little disappointed in some of the decisions I am a bit perplexed. I can’t believe the arrogant French guy got in. I disliked him from the start. Cheryl, you should have told the wannabe rapper girl to come back next year. I like Katie’s voice and Gamu. However, making the viewer believe that it was between the 2 of them was wrong.
I believe Xfactor has lost the plot over the last few years. I have watched as xfactor has changed for the worst and we now have 4 egotistical wanna be gods playing am better then you with peoples lives. It seems to be more about the judges then the contestants. Its very distasteful. I can’t help feeling like I’ve been taken for a ride and disappoint by ITV that they have allowed it to lose focus!. Xfactor has lost its direction and real spirit! I’M VERY DISSATIFIED!!
i think they should bring a fifth judge in for the live shows and let them choose 3 acts from the outcasts! then when one of the very talented wrongly rejected win the show it will clearly slap the other judges in the face!

I have always watched X Factor from start to finish but NOT this year. Gamu was clearly a favourite from day 1, what happened????!!!!!! Maybe Cherly has been told NOT to win again this year that’s what she did what she did. Doesn’t matter that Katie has had a record deal before, the fact is she is an attention seeker, I personally think she forgot her words last night and in her first audition on purpose to see what reaction she got. So now she thinks she is that wonderful that even if she forgets her words she may still win………. I THINK NOT!!!! Can you imagine how Gamu feels right now thinking she was one of the favourites and now not even in the show. I truly hope she is Cherly’s wil card cos I think there is gonna be a lot of people NOT switching on on a Saturday night to watch it.
Ok Cheryl taking a chance is one thing but with Katie, what is wrong with her she has won the show twice now with the public obviously backing her but it’s not gonna happen this year. I hope Katie feels guilty and maybe ashamed of herself, if I was he I would stand down and make room for someone who deserves it.
I think Simon knows that bad choices have been made and thats why this wild card has come. I beleive if Si was judging the girls Katie nor Cher would have got in as he likes performers to perform well on the night. This is disastrous for Cheryl removing talent over wannabees then again she is not a very good singer herself and its only good looks that made her successful and not her talent. I am so angry for the first time in ages I was amazed to see such a diverse group of hopefuls and so many women of colour in the running. Then Cheryl picks the two worst auditions of all the girls as her final two who could be out sung by any of the other rejected girls and oooh they also happen to be white. I never mention race as a rule but I have to find another reason why cheryl would pick these girls over Gamu and Tracey I can’t understand why she has made such a poor decision.

What annoys me most is that the decision to pick Cher and Katie had clearly been made before they even got near the
judge’s house. After investing so much airtime on them through the audition stage Cheryl had probably been told to
keep them in, thus making the judge’s house auditions a complete waste of time. Surely it occurred to the X Factor
bosses that this would damage Cheryl’s reputation.

katie waisell (i’m not going to bother to spell her name right) muffed up her first audition and then the judges houses too. she wasnt even that good at boot camp. totally agree with her decision to put through rebecca through though. cher doesn’t even sing she just speaks or raps the words she can’t sing and to be “brutally honest” she isn’t even pretty- whats with her eyebrows and sneery expressions when she “performs”

What is going on with x factor this year. Is it the look or the voice that is being judged? Surley looks are cosmetic and can be artistically enhanced, the voice is the emotion. Katie, Madonna look alike failed twice and got through hope she doesn’t let you down on the live shows Cheryl, and the young Cheryl Cole lookalike had tonsilitis which is a shame but without an audition still got through. The voice of the people hope that Gamu will be the wild card. Why add all this pressure to the girls, what hurts will they have to suffer?and why?
I understand from various media sources that Gamu wasn’t picked due to fears regarding her VISA. Surely X Factor can verify with the Home Office if it was likely to be an issue before making that decision?? Cheryl – please check and bring Gamu back on Saturday – just because she held herself with dignity and didn’t break down crying doesn’t mean that she isn’t feeling it too!

What an injustice that Cheryl has not put Gamu through.She is the best of Cheryl’s acts. Wouldn’t it be good if someone else gives her a recording contract in time for it to be released before christmas. it would preventany other of Cheryl’s acts from getting to No 1 in the singles chart. I thought Gamu quite arrogant in her interview, when she assumed she was through at the Judges House. Yes she has the better voice of the three, Kate and Cher, but the Judges House round is whether you have the X factor. And her image is a erm quiet.
