X Factor 2010: Cheryl Cole will be back this week!
Talk about commitment! Cheryl Cole will reportedly leave her sickbed and return to The X Factor later this week.
The 27 year old star has been battling the deadly disease malaria for the last month and was only released from hospital less than two weeks ago. Doctors have recommended that the singer rests for an extended period, but Cheryl is chomping at the bit and ready to return to work.
She won’t return full time, but she is said to be keen to conduct an interview with Konnie Huq for The Xtra Factor. The chat will most likely take place in her Surrey mansion this Friday and the pair will discuss her illness and her intentions to be back for the lives shows.
A source told The Sunday Mirror:
“Cheryl is a fighter and this has been the fight of her life. She’s put all her energy into getting better and it looks like it’s paid off. The fact she’s cracking jokes again is a wonderful sign that the feisty old Cheryl is returning.
“Simon has told her he can’t wait to have her back on board.”
In order to get back to tip top shape as quicjly as possible, Cheryl has been eating lots of home cooked meals, hired a round the clock nurse and enjoying relaxing pamper days with her mum.
The source added:
“She feels better but it’s one step at a time and she thinks she would feel more confident if she had her nurse, just in case anything goes wrong.
“Her mum Joan has been waiting on her hand and foot which means she’s built her strength up with early nights, home-cooked meals and lots or rest and relaxation.”
