Diana Vickers - X Factor 2008

Former X Factor contestant Diana Vickers has named Matt Cardle as her favourite from this year’s series.

The 19-year-old reached the semi-finals of The X Factor two years ago and in an interview with The News Of The World, she admits that she has been impressed by Cardle’s range.

She said:

“I’m watching the X Factor when I get a chance. I love Matt, the guy with the hat. He’s got such a great voice and loads of charisma. And for a male vocalist hes got a huge range and we need a really good new lad on the scene.

“I haven’t been asked to perform on the show yet this year, but obviously I’d love it. Everyone tries to get that place. A duet with Matt? Maybe, if he asked!”

Matt was seen impressing Dannii Minogue and Natalie Imbruglia with his rendition of ‘If I Were A Boy’ on tonight’s judges houses show. Tomorrow night we find out if he has made Dannii’s final three and the live shows!
