X Factor 2010 Official Final 12!

So it’s confirmed and the rumoured final 12 article that we wrote almost four weeks ago was 100% correct. On tonight’s show we saw Dannii Minogue, Simon Cowell, Cheryl Cole and Louis Walsh choose their final three acts for Saturday’s live show.
There is a slight change to the categories this year. As usual we will have our boys, girls, groups and overs – however the age limit for the older group is now over 28, so some singers who would previously have been in that category, have managed to win themselves a place in the much cooler younger groups.

Hollie Burns was fantastic. Her and tray c cohen were my favourites in girls.
Not sure I can be bothered to watch the rest of the series now.

Actaully Gamu was a really good singer. Her singing may have been autotoned a little bit but so was everyone else’s that day… and you could tell that gamu could actually sing…. just wait until the bootcamp rounds run.. you will see that she is a great singer.

Where’s TreyC Cohen? Come on, the power of her voice beats this lot hands down. It seems that Xfactor are too focused on what they believe makes ‘good tv’, by choosing people who are a bit quirky,(Katie Waissel)or have a sob story/confidence issue (Rebecca Ferguson) rather than pure, vocal talent.
It’s a talent competition, pick the talent. TreyC should have been put through to the live shows. Ultimately – they’re offering a prize of a £million record contract, so vocal ability should rule. Image can be worked on by a team of stylists/make up artists/directors but what matters most? The voice. It has to be the bottom line – otherwise the show will never get the respect of true music lovers and critics, which Xfactor could achieve, if only they selected the true talent that is right in front of them.

I couldn’t agree more Pusscat. It was an absolute traversty that TreyC didn’t get put through last year let alone this year. Her performance at Simon’s house was incredible. The top 3 girls are RUBBISH! Nicola Fiesta seems like a lovely girl, but I couldn’t believe how bad she sang at her audition. Her voice is weak and boring, but the sad thing is she’ll probably go very far just because of her sob story. It’s not fair that the truly talented acts don’t even get a chance just because of the fact that they haven’t got a sad story that the producers can play on! PATHETIC!!!

Yep Andy, Treyc was the best of everyone at Judge’s houses last year. To think that Simon has stated – ‘we’re not interested in sob stories’ [this year] yet they fall for it again and again. Rebecca Ferguson, although pretty and very stylish, can not project her voice and lacks confidence – essential qualities. Was gutted for Treyc when Simon said she was ‘one dimensional’ to Louis on last night’s show. Wtf? I’m losing respect for Simon, whereas I used to agree most of what he says… now I think he makes some really odd choices

I am so glad Aiden’s through! I’ve been rooting for him to win since I saw his audition live. He’s amazing and has so much potential, he sang Kanye West, Michael Bublé and another song at his audition.
I so hope I get tickets to the live shows to see him again, and for the first time ever I’ll actually be voting.
Another plus is that he’s from near me, Blackpool.

Soo annoyed if this is the real lineup! I agree with everyone-what the heck is Katie Waissal doing there?? I love Cheryl but I am seriously doubting Cheryl’s “judge skills”. She’s just very lucky she gets the good categories EVERY year! Imagine if she had the over-28 (poor Louis, but I really like Mary!) I thought last year she made a mistake picking Ricky Loney over Ethan Boroian…but I knew it was because she had a favorite boy, Joe picked to win already and didn’t want the chance of him not winning to be possible. Same thing this year with Cher. Cheryl’s picking girls who are weaker so her favorite can win again. Sad that Treyc and Annastacia don’t make it.
And I still think it was a bit ironic that Tom Richards was picked as a solo when all the judges said he should be in a boyband. And how come Liam was put in one?? I bet Simon knew all along he wanted the groups (which is why they strengthened them this year) and wanted Liam again lol.

Yes, i do think that Gamu is very talented but as I mentioned earlier I think they had to get rid of her because of her immigration status. Hopefully she will go on to win a talent show in south africa or her own country. I think that the show have to be seen to be fair, you cant put a talent show above the rule of law

i think the decision to raise the age limit of the boys and girls was a mistake. if it hadn’t happened, Treyc would have had a chance to get into the top twelve, and i think Annastacia too. but man, this year the girls were strong. and they get Cheryl…

Cheryl thwart should not be judging, the girl is good for nothing, only hiding behing x-factor to try and get some fame. Gamu is definitely in a whole different league, she is a champion snger, you should have sen the controlled voice when singing the adelle songg, wow, who in the history of x-factor had that much desterity. God, i think the competition is way smaller than her type of talent, that is why they want to get rid of her. cheryl is just scared of what this girl can become. and although she is now a citizen, they still dont want to put her through because o her African background which is a big shame

I knew the Girls would be a really difficult category to choose 3 because there are at least 4 there are excellent: Gamu, Treyc, Rebecca and Cher.
I can’t believe Cher chose Katie insted of Treyc or Gamu… I always thought she was the judge who gives more importance to the voice.
I actually think that Simon and Dani are the only ones who chose the right top 3 for their categories.
I hope to god this list isnt real, the only ones I like are: John Adeleye who is absolutely awesome and sings so beautifully.
Mary Byrne who has a fantastic voice.
Rebecca Ferguson sings so beautifully.
If Danni picked those guys, she picked all the guys that suck. I mean she had awesome guys like Marlon – he was fantastic, I would pick him in a heartbeat.

Ok well Liam is great, but he was the strongest in his group – the other boys aren’t so hot. Not sure about the girl group havent heard them and didnt hear FYD yet.

Cheryl is a rubbish judge. She chose her three just because of their image, and she is image obsessed. The girls are weak, weak, weak this year, Cheryl left out the ones with the really great voices.
Also I don’t know why Danni put Nicolo through, I thought Tom was great.
Rebecca Ferguson and Matt Cardale have the most overall potential. Cher, maybe, but also very possible she could be a disaster on certain weeks…
Although it’s a good lineup this year, no real weak acts like previous years. A lot is going to ride on the song choice each week…
If this is true then I’m really disappointed. It seems the only judges who has got it right with the artists this year is Louis and Simon. Where is Gamu or Treyc for the girls? Cheryl is a crap judge. With the exception of Cher, she has got it totally wrong. And why has that big nosed Italin guy gone through to the live shows, he murdered “Life On Mars” at the bootcamp round. Dani’s only chance of winning is with Matt Cardle. Really disappointed with the acts they’ve put through to the live shows when there was much more talented people that should be there.

I first read this article before bootcamp and so far it all seems correct! Can’t believe they pick the final 12 so early and it’s not really the judges decision as their houses!! All seems like abit of a fraud!

Let’s give whoever is lucky to get through a chance on the live nights, then start making our decisions. Not to mention we don’t know how good or bad people performed at the Judge’s houses yet. Personally, I wasn’t a fan of Gamu at all; but let’s wait and see… there’s a few risky acts in this lineup that could really shine, but alternatively could really crash and burn…
I just wish that looks weren’t a big factor in the competition because like last year and the previous year I question the final 12 – I don’t get it. It’s supposed to be the best 12 singers in the country, but sure as night becomes day we’re going to get the usual frauds who cannot sing i.e. Lloyd Daniels, Diana Vickers, John and Edward…etc I am really dissapointed with this final 12

Boosting the age to 28 was a big and ugly mistake for the show. Because Matt Cardle, Marlon Mackenzie and TreyC Cohen where the obvious talents over 25.
John Wilding and Gamu are two of the best young singers I have ever seen on this show and it would be a shame and embarassment if they actaully do not make it to the live finals.
Finally Cher Lloyd is hugely over rated as a singer

Cheryls picked the 3 most talentless of her 8. Rebecca Fergusson’s voice is too quite and she’s too shy, the only reason she’s through is because Cheryl can’t control her emotions and falls for a big sob story every time. Katie Waissel sings everything the same, in the same key and even stands the same. Cher is just terrible, she can’t rap at all and her at bootcamp was the biggest laugh I’ve had in ages; she’s an average singer but because she looks like Cheryl – with the same average voice – she’s got through, she pulls strange faces, always sings ‘Ohh Yea’ and will epically fail in the live shows, although Cheryl will probably try and get her own way and have a rap week.
I’m sure the other 5 of hers didn’t all break down at houses so badly she had to put these 3 through, she just want to be original, and it’s quite obvious it won’t work.
I can’t say anything about Simon becaus. we’ve not heard the 2 new groups, but I love F.Y.D an think they could do very well.
From Dannii’s I absouloutly LOVE Aiden, if he doesn’t win or atleast get a record deal I’ll be
gutted! Nicolo is alright, I don’t think he’ll last long in it; and Matt is again okay, I don’t think he’ll ever exceed what he did at bootcamp because it was more shock he could sing, but I think he’ll last long.
And Louis didn’t have much choice in his, changing the age was a massive mistake, because it’s obvious none of the overs will win, but Treyc, Marlon and Matt would of been through and they all have great voices.
oh my God, a girl who hates girls and loves Aiden. groundbreaking… if you had at least a bit of knowledge of music, you would know cheryl picked cher because of her currentness, she probably picked Rebecca because of her tenderness and internalization, not to talk about her amazing timbre, and she picked the other one probably because of her stage presence. you don’t need to be an amazing singer, with a five octave range to do well. Katy perry and lady Gaga have proved this.

Tom is too average for the show and Gamu’s sob story is a bit annoying, but she’s a good singer.
To me – the most enigmatic and talented of all the boys IMO was John Wilding. I get goosebumps every time I look at the video of his audition singing Run by Leona Lewis. The audition was way too short and I always assume they do that because they want to really surprise everyone when they start the show proper. If your “spoiler” list is for real and you have it on good authority that the final 12 are written in stone – then I am majorly disappointed that John was not put through by Dannii. I would call it a travesty actually……

And the ironic thing is that two of Cheryl’s picks – Katie and Cher, are supposedly so “unique” and “different”, but really they’re just basing their image on other people (and in Cher’s case stealing other people’s work and calling it her own). Those two are so fake: they’re characters.
Gamu, in contrast, totally does her own thing, and what can be more unique and one-of-a-kind than that?
Cheryl is such a SHIT judge. Cher cant even sing, take it from me, i know. She is awful and Cheryl only cares about image. Thats the only reason why she got through.

I really don’t get the Gamu praise. She’s okay, but something’s missing in terms of being a star. The Ferguson girl looks like the best of the girls, in voice and looks, and will likely regain more confidence as she progresses; plus as someone said, she’s the most likeable, very enduring. Has a good shot to win and have a decent career.
Guess we’ll have to wait until judge’s house to see how they perform.

Cher – i like her a lot, she’s different but I live that in some live shows she can be not that good. hope she knows how to change the songs to make them original but good as well. she can do it very well and be the best of that live show or be just all over the place. definitely, she won’t be boring to watch!
Rebecca – best voice of competition (in my opinion) but I don’t believe she will win because she’s too shy so her personality won’t make people to vote for her. with more stage presence and attitude, she can be the one to beat in this competition
Katie – i believe she will have ok performances but never a really good one… i dont believe she will last very long in the competition.
Boys:
Aiden – i like his voice and hopefully he’ll end in a good place in the competition. with good mentoring, he can do very good performances.
Matt – great and unique voice. loved his bootcamp performance much better than his audition (which was ok). like aiden, with good mentoring he can be one of the best in the competition
Nicolo – he is ok but I dont think he has what an artist really needs. he’s weird (which it can be good) and different but if we compare his voice with the majority of the other contestants… not that good

Don’t have an opinion about 1 Direction and Belle Amie but some members of that groups are really good so I guess they can be quite good. About FYD, I like their audition it was really cool and I think they can do it well in the competition if they choose the right songs

Mary – Big voice and the best of the category. Has got a good attitude and she can be one the best in the live shows. hope she chooses the right songs!
Storm Lee – Great voice, great stage presence but I actually agree with Simon that “star name” is just too much. I think he can do very well in the competition.
John Adeleye – I prefered Yuli Minguel, but he’s good as well. Not sure if he’s going to last very much but he has got a good voice.

i think cheryl has made a big mistake if these rumours are true. it was clear from the start that she favoured cher and katie, Cher is a one trick pony .i think the other might as well have not bothered to put there hearts and souls into their performances.what a waste of time , i feel like not bothering watching this year i think we all know whos going to win. but wish i could say they would deserve it.
Agreed Cher and Katie are the biggest mistakes, Gamu and Treyc are by far the two superior singers… But yes the shows all a sort of strategy everything is done for the benefit of the show and the people involved (including past winners being in competition), not genuine talent! I just hope it isn’t the true list, but I have a feeling it is!
If this is true millions will switch off. Cher Lloyd as good as she was in auditions doesn’t deserve a place, neither does Katie based on their judges house performances. Neither have the inner strength and some of the other girls have prepared better. Rebecca Ferguson to win. HATE Storm Lee. Sharon and Louis and Danii have all proved to be one dimentional mentors who don’t understand all music genres. Remember Sharon telling Leona to stop riffing and just sing? Did they pick a lightweight song at judges houses for Gamu on purpose? The song did not suit her awesome voice, range or story telling ability and may have just cost her that place which would certainly not be her fault.

I think that Cheryl’s bout of Malaria must have knocked her senses! Six of her 8 girls were black and they were by far the strongest and the best singers. The two white girls both crumbled at the last hurdle and were in any event, not a patch on the black girls, even if they had managed to perform at their best. So what does Cheryl do? She put through the mediocre white girls……I’m truly flabbergasted!

This show is fixed. The way to win is dont sing, forget your words, act like a prima donna, and most importantly sing badly. Gamu should without any doubt have been a certainty. Also the groups that got thru were the ones Cowell and his cronies, hand picked. “The Reason” were the best, here. Cher and Katie should not be in the final.
The show has just gone down in my estimation. Where is the justification that the blonde bimbo cries crocodile tears and makes the final 12 whereas Gamu doesn’t who is extremely talented? F**k you Cheryl Cole, you wouldn’t know talent if it hit you in the face.
Now I’m really happy that Treyc and Gamu didn’t go through because they are too adly, good to be in this show. Sadly, Rebecca was chosen and she is too good as well. Excellent insight LJ. The “X Factor” the judges are seeking is the “Money Factor”. They want to make a quick buck off of the winner they can market for at least one year until the next year rolls around, at which time they’ll take a big dump on last year’s winner and begin their search for a new “pop star”. Shows like the X Factor and American Idol have SO NEGATIVELY impacted the music industry. Until the early naughties, artists had serious longevity in the business, respect from their audience and fans, and, most importantly, made AMAZING music. Now, musicians and musical trends come and go with a turnover rate greater than Wal-Mart or call center employees. So sad…

Katie isnt that bad, everyone slated Diana Vickers saying she wont last long but got though the final 4. Shes a weird voice. About when she forget the lines, many singers who are proffesional can fluff lines sometimes. The same when actors/actresses do it. The umbrella?, people use that as a way of keeping the sun out. Old music from 30/50s had a umbrella in their music, specially oper, jazz. I wait til the lives before I know what I want to progress. At the moment, it’s Katie, Matt, Rebecca, Aiden Grimshaw, and John. That could all change.

Tom, your loyalty to your sister is both admirable and predictable. The reality is that whilst her vocal ability is moderately good, it really wasn’t good enough for her to be given a place in the final twelve. Of course, Cheryl’s affinity with your sister is based on one thing that they both have in common – weak vocals. Your sister’s rapping ability is also of a mediocre standard. You may feel that all the disses that your sister is getting is unwarranted, but the reality is that it is very much justified in the circumstances. She won’t win the X Factor and I believe that as a result of the unfair favouritism that she has been given, the public will vote her out at the earliest opportunity.

I think Cheryl should be booted off the x factor( give the job to Nicole, she has a bit more sense and she can actually sing. I once liked Cheryl but after last nights decisions, I am convinced she is losing it. Maybe its the malaria or maybe she is trying to get back at Ashley for cheating on her. Whatever the reason she stole some good singers chances and showed favouritism. I only hope it comes back to haunt her

i agree Jerry, Cheryl is FAR from racist, she married a black guy and has 2 black girls in her group, plus she put Alexandra Burke trough who won and she was black too, some people just have no sense, i agree with her decisions and both Katie and Cher have proved themselves as far as in concerned and ALL the acts deserved to be there except Wagner, Yuli should have got through as wildcard she was amazing!! i enjoy the way the judges seem to be attacking each other. does simon fancy cheryl, he’s always agreeing with her and sort of backing her against louis. on the other hand louis is hilarious the way he’s kinda attacking cheryl and simon at any given opportunity i cant stop laughing and for me that makes the live shows more interesting to watch. i love simon’s body language i’ve watched many other singing competitions and i personally think simon is the coolest guy there is and for 51 he looks amazing nice body aand all!
