X Factor 2010: Final 16 perform charity single ‘Heroes’ (VIDEO)
We witnessed a bit of a reunion on tonight’s X Factor show, when the final 16 contestants performed together again – this time showcasing their new charity single.
The singers all recorded their version of David Bowie’s ‘Heroes’ earlier this month. The song, said to have been recorded in the week beginning 18 October 2010, will be released as a charity single in aid of Help for Heroes, a charity which supports injured servicemen and women returning from Afghanistan and Iraq. The video for the single was filmed on 2 November 2010. It is the third year in a row that finalists have released a charity record.
Tonight, Matt Cardle opened the song with a perfect vocal (though he was most likely miming) and the highlight of the song for us was the return of the gorgeous Aiden Grimshaw. How on earth did he end up leaving? Oops we’re getting angry again!!
The song closed with a group of troops emerging onstage and providing a moving backing vocal for the wannabes. It may have been schmaltzy, cheesy and a bit contrived, but come on people it’s for charity….you might as well buy a copy! And to make it easy for you, we’ve even provided you with a link below.

Where are Nicolo and Storm?
seems a awful lot of people on twitter complaining the show did not show diva fever stom fyd nicolo ?????
We checked and double checked ans they were all there but given little to no camera time.
I thought I was sad sitting in watching x factor.
However Im eclipsed by those who must be so sad and odd that they vote for Wagner this can only be to spoil the fun of normal people, I cant even feel sorry for them if their lives are so dire that this is a way to get kicks.
Nicolo, Storm, Wagner and Diva Fever can’t sing as well as the others. So they weren’t featured too much.
Why was Cher featured then?!

I was so happy to see that Aiden had a solo!! Would they have dared to not give him camera time??
I actually wanted to see Nicoló and Diva Fever, but they were bypassed because they didn’t have any solo lines
