X Factor 2010: Kylie Minogue to replace Dannii Minogue during auditions

Sources have claimed that X Factor will be going all American Idol this summer as bosses plan to introduce a series of guest judges to the panel.

After Paul Abdul was dropped by left American Idol last year, Simon Cowell brought in celebrity judges including Victoria Beckham and Mary J. Blige to replace her until Ellen DeGeneres took the seat on a permanent basis.

This year, insiders claim that X Factor bosses are planning to try a similar tactic and bring in some celebrity judges during the audition stages, whilst normal judge Dannii Minogue is in Australia giving birth.

A source told the Daily Star newspaper: “Dannii will let Louis Walsh, Simon Cowell and Cheryl Cole pick the acts.

“Then there will be guest judges to fill her seat, one of whom will be Kylie.”

The source added: “Once Dannii has her baby, she will come back to the show for judging the final stages of the contest. And she will be back for the live shows.”

A spokesperson for the 38-year-old star confirmed she will still be “a part of the show.”

Her representative said: “Dannii has absolutely not quit the show. She will still be a part of ‘The X-Factor’ when it returns later this year.”
