X Factor 2010: Louis Walsh loves Katie Waissel’s ambition!

Louis Walsh has admitted that Katie Waissel has finally won him over on The X Factor.

The Irish judge wasn’t a fan of Katie’s in the initial audition rounds and after her first performance on the live shows he speculated that the 24 year old was ‘all style and no substance.’ However he did choose to save her over FYD and after her rendition of ‘I’d Rather Go Blind’ on Saturday, Walsh raved:

I am so glad I saved you. I saved you because I thought you have a talent, you’re a hard worker, you’re emotional and I think people in the press are giving you a hard time. They’re not judging you on your talent.

In an interview with X magazine, Louis explained his change of heart saying:

I love the fact that she’s ambitious. I love the fact that she’s pushy. I love the fact that she’d do anything. Let’s face it, a lot of these girls in the charts would do anything as well. Look at the two girls around the corner [he means Dannii and Cheryl], they would have done anything. It’s all about ambition. It’s not so much about talent. Britney, Kylie, Madonna – they’re not amazing girls. But they work it. They work so hard. Katy Perry, too. That’s what makes them special.

Do you agree with Louis? Is pushiness a good quality in a popstar? Leave your comments below.
