Pixie Lott has been chatting about her stint as a guest judge on the X Factor.

The ‘Mama Do’ singer stood in for pregnant judge Dannii Minogue, when the auditions hit Cardiff earlier this year and admitted that both the groups and the male category impressed her greatly.

Pixie told The Sun:

“I think JLS have definitely paved the way with bands because they’re doing really, really well.

“But I also think that we need a male artist, because they are always my favourites.”

On the show’s return this Saturday, Lott admitted that the early audition shows are her favourite.

She said: “My favourite part is always the early auditions, when you get to see all the different characters. There are so many classic moments – I love it!”
