X Factor 2010: Rebecca Ferguson sings Feeling Good (VIDEO)

Rebecca Ferguson admitted that she has always wanted to be a singer on tonight’s X Factor.

In her VT, Cheryl Cole said that Rebecca’s song suits her voice perfectly and hopes that she can sing it with enough confidence, to help her achieve her dreams.

The mum of two then emerged onstage dressed in a gorgeous skintight purple minidress. It was just her, a mic stand and a classic Nina Simone song. Rebecca more than did it justice and with her performance tonight, she put herself up there alongside Treyc Cohen, John Adeleye and Mary Byrne as one of the strongest vocalists on this year’s series.

Judges Comments:

Dannii: In a way that song was a risk because it could be cliché, overdone and too theatrical but you made it so new and so fresh. For me I started to think that if there was a new Bond film that would be on the sound track. I have a style crush on you, you are beautiful.

Louis Walsh: What a transformation in one week. You are what we are looking for, we want somebody with an amazing recording voice, who can sell records. You are so shy, elegant and sophisticated, you tick every box for me. I love your choice of song and we have to remember we are looking for someone who can be a star and I can see you going all the way because you’ve got everything.

Simon: I absolutely love you. You have it just right at the moment, your timing is perfect, you are very cool, very current, your voice is on the money. This is a big week for Liverpool, they may have just found themselves a new popstar. That was genius.

Cheryl: I would buy your album tomorrow. You are so comfortable and easy to listen to. You have a unique sounding voice, as soon as I hear it I know it’s you. You represent Liverpool!
