X Factor 2010 Results: Matt Cardle wins

Matt Cardle has become the winner of the 2010 X factor series.

The former painter and decorator has sailed through every previous stage of the show and has never been placed in the bottom two sing off. After Matt performed alongside Take That this evening and giving an amazing rendition of his winner’s single ‘When We Collide’ , Dermot O’Leary announced that Matt had taken the crown and Rebecca was left a runner up.

On hearing the news a stunned Matt raved:

I just want to say thank you so much from the bottom of my heart for voting for me and congratulations to everybody who got to this stage, they should be so proud. There’s not enough time to thank everyone!

Rebecca Ferguson added:

I’m so happy, so grateful and Matt’s amazing, I am happy to have gotten so far.

Dannii Minogue gushed:

This man deserves it, he won’t let you down, it’s been an incredible ten weeks.
