16 year old Harry is seen causing some problems between the judges on tonight’s X Factor show.
The teenager auditions in Manchester for Simon Cowell, Louis Walsh and guest judge Nicole Scherzinger and tells the cameras:
“I’m Harry and I’m 16. It’s quite boring, nothing much happens there. It’s quite picturesque. I sing in a band with my friends at school. It’s called White Eskimo. I’m the lead singer. We entered a battle of the bands competition about a year and a half ago and we won. Winning that and playing to that many people really showed me what I wanted to do. I got such a thrill singing in front of people it made me want to do it more and more. Singing is what I want to do and if people can make that happen for me don’t think I should be doing it then it’s a major setback in my plans. I’ve always wanted to audition but always been too young until now.”
Harry walks on stage to meet the judges. He sings Isn’t She Lovely by Stevie Wonder.
Nicole: I’m really glad we had the opportunity to hear you acapella. We could really hear how great your voice is. For 16 years old you have a beautiful voice.
Louis: I agree with Nicole, however I think you’re so young, I don’t think you have enough experience or confidence yet.
Simon: Someone in the audience just said rubbish and I totally agree with them. The show is designed to find someone like you, whether you’re 16, 17 it doesn’t matter. I think with a bit of vocal coaching you actually could be very good.
Louis: For all the right reasons I’m going to say no as I don’t think you’re ready.
Simon: I don’t actually think they (the audience) booed you loud enough there Louis.
So who will Simon and Nicole agree with, Louis or the audience? Tune in at 7.45pm tonight to find out!
