X Factor 2010: Simon Cowell furious at bootcampers hotel rampage
Simon Cowell is said to be furious with a group of this year’s X factor wannabes, after they went on a rampage in a London hotel.
A group of around twenty singers who had made it through to the show’s bootcamp terrorised residents of the Premier Inn in Wembley this weekend, as they got outrageously drunk, smashed up furniture, stripped naked and forced hotel bosses to call in the riot police.
The wannabes had been downing vodka, wine and beer all night when the craziness started and though hotel bosses did try to calm them down, they had no success and were forced to call in the specialist police team. X Factor bosses are said to be furious about the incident and have agreed to pay for any damage to the hotel fixtures.
A source at the London hotel told The News Of The World: “They were like wild animals. The police arrived in full riot gear because things were so extreme. It’s hard to believe these people are serious about becoming the next Leona Lewis or Alexandra Burke.”
And an American guest said: “They kept the entire hotel awake and scared us. Some of them were dancing around naked in the car park. If they are the stars of tomorrow then I am disgusted.”
A source added: “Simon Cowell is not happy.”
An X Factor spokesman said: “Contestants had an opportunity to relax after a week of intense rehearsal and performance. We’ve spoken to the individuals concerned, who have apologised.”
