X Factor 2010: Simon Cowell tells Harry Styles ‘This show is designed to find someone like you’ (VIDEO)

Sixteen year old Harry Styles managed to divide the X Factor judges, when he auditioned in Manchester earlier this year.

The teenager, from Cheshire, told the panel that he is currently the lead singer in his school band ‘White Eskimo’ and his biggest claim to fame is winning a battle of the bands competition in 2009.

Harry sang Isn’t She Lovely by Stevie Wonder for Simon Cowell, Louis Walsh and guest judge Nicole Scherzinger and shockingly, considering the fact that he is a young boy, singing an old song, boyband enthusiast Walsh wasn’t impressed.

Nicole: I’m really glad we had the opportunity to hear you acapella. We could really hear how great your voice is. For 16 years old you have a beautiful voice.

Louis: I agree with Nicole, however I think you’re so young, I don’t think you have enough experience or confidence yet. For all the right reasons I’m going to say no as I don’t think you’re ready.

Simon: Someone in the audience just said rubbish and I totally agree with them. The show is designed to find someone like you, whether you’re 16, 17 it doesn’t matter. I think with a bit of vocal coaching you actually could be very good. I don’t actually think they (the audience) booed you loud enough there Louis.

With two yeses, Harry won a place in bootcamp. But can he prove Louis wrong in the next round?

We loved floppy haired Harry tonight and think he really has something going for him. His voice was strong and he is just so cute we could eat him! Our sources reveal that Harry was put into a boyband in bootcamp, as was teenager dreamboat Liam Payne.

We’d love to hear your thoughts on the move. Leave your comments below.
