X Factor 2010: Guilty Pleasures songlist revealed *UPDATED*

This week’s X Factor theme has been confirmed and vocal coach Yvie Burnett revealed that each of the songs on Saturday will be ‘Guilty Pleasures.’
Speaking on Matt Edmondson’s F Factor Burnett said:
“We’ve got a great theme this week, it’s called Guilty Pleasures.”
The singer, who also trains stars on America’s and Britain’s Got Talent added:
“We’ve got a few surprises that are not your normal sort of X Factor songs.”
“Some people have absolutely gone and taken such a risk and I think the ones that will really work, are the ones that are least expected.”
We have been informed that Belle Amie and Treyc Cohen have already been allocated their songs for Saturday. The girl group will take on Footloose and Ms C will be performing Stairway to Heaven by Led Zeppelin.

Treyc Cohen: Stairway to Heaven by Led Zeppelin.
Mary Byrne: I Who Have Nothing by Ben E. King and later Shirley Bassey. The song was revealed by Louis Walsh on tonight’s Paul O’Grady show. He revealed that he had originally chosen “Ain’t No Mountan High Enough” but Mary struggled with the high notes.
Wagner Carillho: The Spice Girls’ Spice Up Your Life and Ricky Martin’s Livin’ la Vida Loca.
John Adeleye – Zoom (Fat Larry’s Band)
Belle Amie - I’ll Stand By You (The Pretenders / Girls Aloud)
The Daily Star today reported:
Katie Waissel: The Jungle Book monkey song I Wanna Be Like You
Aiden Grimshaw: Diamonds Are Forever (Shirley Bassey)
Matt Cardle: Matt will have a Darius moment with Britney Spears’ Baby One More Time.
One Direction: Nobody Knows (Pink). However other sources have reported that they will be singing Teenage Dream by Katy Perry.
The judges have stuck with very broad themes to date, Number Ones and Musical Heroes really meant that the contestants could sing any song from any artist. No doubt the ‘Guilty Pleasures’ theme will mean we can expect yet another rap number from young Cher Lloyd.

Well, to be fair it’s called the X factor, not the singing factor. It’s about fnding someone with that special thing you can’t put your finger on, she’s got that. And she doesn’t rap the whole of every song, she does sing as well. Anyway, word is she’s doing a ballad tonite.

Sincerely, i will not endure to see Cher singing rap again in live concerts. People will get tired of seeing the same things every weekend.

Sue, I concur – if Cher keeps rapping and singing, it will get tiresome. I think she should shock the hell out of everyone and sing a ballad or something “stripped back” and “raw” as the judges like to say.

i like the week’s theme, but i’m not sure how stairway to heaven fits into guilty pleasure… Isn’t that supposed to be like one of those classic, epic songs?

Cher is amazin and she should rap or sing wat she wants. and people who dont apprectiate hr probably cnt do half the things she can.
After being an avid fan of the x factor I have come to the conclusion that the show has run its course. The young Cher this year is a joke, the girl is so unstable and certainly not worthy of a record contract. My favourite this year is Matt as Gamu was not put through.
For the last seven years I have bet on the winner and won everytime but this year we all know (if you have any sense) what is going to happpen long before it does. Still think that Simon Cowell is amazing BUT !!!!!

Why is Stairway to Heaven on the set list? It’s hardly a guilty pleasure, that song is legendary. I’ll be even angrier than I am now though if they turn it into a pop song, but I know they’re gonna do that anyway. I still get annoyed that they use that version of Kashmir for the intro. Anyway, small rant over.

Simon is going out of his way to try and keep Cher and Katie in competition by his song choices, he won’t be able to carry on protecting her and will eventually have to pick songs choices that are out of her comfort area. He is such a control freak but the public will eventually vote her off as she wont be able to hack it with the variety of songs she will need to sing.

I think people need to stop putting everyone down, they all have something special and unique otherwise they wouldn’t be there.
Personally I think Matt is the best singer, he is so unassuming but so talented, he is a breath of fresh air. I don’t think belle amis are as good as people make out they are…I’m not sure if they love the music, because they find it hard to create harmonies. I think John needs to be remembered by the public because he is talented and lovely! Rebecca is also very talented. And I personally dislike cher, she is not a strong enough person to be in the music industry…apparently she is a bully too?…making one girl want to kill herself, but that might just be bad press. I admire that cher is willing to do something different, but she needs to recognize she needs to be a stronger person to not be ridiculed for it. Cher also needs to stop stealing other artists materials and carrying them off as her own.
I love one direction, but only because they are cute. They are not the greatest singers and don’t deserve to win. Beating people such as mary, katie, aidan ectt…who are more worthy winners.

I’m shocked that Louis can say he’s changed Mary Byrnes song because she’s been struggling with the high notes in his original choice!!!!! I thought the show was about showcasing potential recording artists that are able to cover songs making them ‘their own?’
I also thought it was about challenging the singer, taking risks and taking them out of their comfort zone????
