Amelia Lily was elated to win a second chance on this year’s X Factor series.

After winning the public vote tonight – beating 2 Shoes, James Michael and Jonjo Kerr – Amelia was invited back to the ITV show to perform the Queen classic ‘The Show Must Go On.’

It was a very fitting song choice, don’t you think?

On hearing the news she admitted:

I can’t believe I’m back in, it was the most stressful two days of my life, but so worth it.

But some online fans weren’t so shocked, and many said it was a fix, as Lily’s success had been announced on the official website around half an hour before. We have the pictures here. Whoops!

The Queen song chosen for Amelia originally reached number 16 in the UK single charts back in 1991, just weeks before Freddie Mercury’s death.

She captured the gloomy spirit of the tune perfectly and her performance was much better than some of the contestants who lasted much longer in the series than she originally did.

Amelia’s tuning was spot on and we think that now, she will provide some real competition for Janet Devlin and Misha B. We bet they’re feeling slightly more worried than usual tonight.
