This year’s big X Factor love story is not going to come from Amelia Lily and Frankie Cocozza but from a slightly more unlikely source it has been reported.

It has been claimed that Liverpudlian singer Craig Colton enjoyed a romantic night out with former contestant Danyl Johnson this week, after the pair were spotted sharing a quiet meal on London’s South Bank together.

The chubby crooner recently revealed that he was gay, after one of the singers from Nu Vibe outed him during a video interview. He claimed to be single but that may have changed as a source told The Sun:

“They’re very much the item. They’ve become inseparable and text non-stop when they’re not together.

“Everyone thought they were just swapping war stories from their experiences on the show, but it turns out it’s blossomed.”

Danyl paid a backstage visit to The X Factor just a few weeks ago, with fellow former contestant Lucie Jones. It is thought that the pair met then and hit it off immediately.

It has been claimed that the lived up duo have been out a number of times since, enjoying theatre dates and lunches whenever Craig has some free time in his schedule.

Danyl knows just how it feels to be outed unexpectedly too, after Dannii Minogue caused a furore in 2009, when she made a comment about his sexuality after one of his performances.
