X Factor 2011: Dannii Minogue and Louis Walsh to be sacked?
X Factor bosses are reportedly keen to axe both Dannii Minogue and Louis Walsh.
The duo have previously admitted that they have not yet signed contracts for the new series of the ITV reality TV show and insiders say that bosses are planning a huge shake up of the format and want to replace the entire judging panel.
However, they fear a backlash from the viewing public and are currently brainstorming to come up with stars and celebrities who the public would accept as replacement mentors.
If the plans go ahead, with Cheryl Cole and Simon Cowell thought to be moving to America to work on the new US version of the show, the only recognisable star left will be hunky presenter Dermot O’Leary.
A source told The News Of The World:
“If Simon and the other show bosses get their way this will be the most dramatic shake-up in X Factor history.”
“The producers are very excited by the idea of the show being entirely fresh.
“There is a view that Louis and Dannii are a bit tired and have offered all they can, especially Louis. But they’ll be shocked to hear they may not be wanted.”
Cowell is said to be planning a new five person panel, which will consist of four regular judges with a new fifth guest judge each week. However, some ITV insiders think the plan is crazy and worry that it could spell the end of the show’s massive popularity.
One source said: “ITV is already taking a massive gamble by going ahead without Simon or Cheryl. Dispensing of Dannii and Louis would be madness.
“Viewers love Dannii especially. Simon has never understood how popular she is. It’s important she is there, and for viewers to have a sense of familiarity.”

Are you trying to make us feel sorry for poor Dannii and Louis left behind by Simon and Cheryl? It’s not going to work. We all know Dannii and Louis are not going anywhere.
It sounds like the X Factor bosses wanting to scrap the show ~ There will be no judges on the show if they do that
Every year there is always a rumour about Dannii being axed, yet it never happens. I would be very surprised if she was axed now.
Dannii has taken her time to shine on the show, she has been bullied by Sharon Osbourne on the show, had to sit there each week as Cheryl is introduced as the nations sweetheart. When did the nation say she was our sweetheart, she gives nothing to the show and have we all forgot the fact that she was convicted of ABH on a black female toilet attendant who was working for a few quid in a nightclub. At the time the Judge Richard Haworth accepted a majority verdict as the jurors decided by 11 to one that Tweedy was guilty.
Sentencing Tweedy, The Judge criticised her in the courtroom for showing no remorse over the attack but she cries every bloody week on telly. She was sentenced to complete 120 hours of unpaid community service and also paid her victim £500 compensation.
Is there any reason to start Cheryl bashing on a Dannii article, why don’t you do it on a Cheryl article instead
Scott, Cheryl was NEVER introduced as the nation’s sweetheart on the X Factor – that’s a name that’s been given to her via the press. When she was on the Alan Carr show a few months ago, she said the title made her cringe.
And we ALL know the story of the assault charge, but it happened in 2003, she was found guilty and served her punishment – and the ‘toilet attendant’ attacked her first, Nicola Roberts was witness to it. The woman also changed her story and brought in the racist claim when she was approached by a tabloid,so she’s hardly Miss Perfect.
Dannii is by far the best judge on the pannel.
I really like Dannii as a judge. However I really dislike Louis so if the news is right about him then it’s music to my ears
