X Factor 2011: Dannii Minogue is ‘fuming’ that Simon Cowell pushed her out

Despite releasing a statement claiming that it was her decision to leave The X Factor, Dannii Minogue is reportedly ‘fuming’ with show boss Simon Cowell, as she feels he pushed her out.

The Australian singer quit the ITV reality TV show at the weekend, after revealing that the new audition dates clashed with the live shows of Australia’s Got Talent, on which she also acts as a judge.

Insiders now claim that Dannii feels she was ‘forced out’ by show bosses, who merely wanted to bring a fresh look to the show.

A source told the Daily Mail: “Dannii’s fuming. She was put in a terrible position of being told she would have do that dreadful 25-hour flight countless times over the next few months if she wanted to do the show.

“No attempt was made to move dates for her or to help her out. After a very tense week, she just said, ‘I’m a mum, how can I keep flying back and forth? I have a baby to care for’.”

The X Factor audition dates are thought to have been moved, so that new judge Gary Barlow could fit them in around his upcoming Take That Progress tour. An ITV insider admitted that there were ways and means of making them suit both stars, but revealed that Cowell and Co wanted Dannii out.

They allegedly said:

“We wanted to freshen up the panel.”

“Although there was a clash of dates, it would not have been insurmountable if everyone had really wanted to keep her.”
