X Factor 2011 Finalists: Final 16 revealed? *Spoilers!*
ALL THE LATEST X FACTOR NEWS AND SPOILERS HERE.
The X Factor audition shows are drawing to a close and before you know it, we’ll be moving on to bootcamp and judges houses.
Of course, though it has not yet been televised, the advanced London rounds of the ITV show have already been filmed at a plush hotel, bootcamp has concluded and all of the mentors have filmed their judges houses rounds.
Gary Barlow and Robbie Williams whittled the boys down in LA and Louis Walsh took his hopefuls (and Sinitta) to Barcelona, where he chose his final four contestants for the live shows, Tulisa Contostavlos and Jessie J headed to Greece for their tryouts and Kelly Rowland was joined by Jennifer Hudson in Miami.

We have done a bit of digging and a bit of tweeting and have managed to get the names of most of the lucky acts who we think have made it through the judges houses stage and onto the live shows, which will start in October.
We will update this list, as more information comes in. Follow the links in each contestant’s name, for more information on their initial auditions. Even reaching the final 16 can be quite lucrative especially considering that they have already been commissioned to star in Marks & Spencer’s Christmas adverts singing When You Wish Upon a Star – read the full article here.

The Risk – A manufactured boy group. It contains Charlie Healy from The Keys, Derry Mensah & 2 others. Marlon McKenzie was originally part of the group but was replaced by another contestant at judges houses.
2 Shoes – Charley Bird and Lucy Texeria – Charley recently announced that she is pregnant with her first child.
Rhythmix - Jesy Nelson, Perrie Edwards, Jade Thirwell and Leigh-Anne Pinnock made up a new girl group at bootcamp
Nu Vibe – A boy group, with Bradley Johnson, made up at bootcamp.
Of course, until an announcement is made by ITV at the end of this month, anything could change, so at present this list is unconfirmed and unofficial.

I heard that John Wilding didn’t make it through, but he has been offered a contract by a record label? Dont take that as gospel though.
Are these spoilers accurate, but I heard that Derry didn’t make it through..but apparently he is with a new group called the risk.
I am hoping that Melanie McCabe makes the finals, but it is quite clear that Janet,Jade & Amelia are nailed on to go through. So the final spot will be between her and Misha.
if sami brookes doesn’t get through then it is a fix and i won’t be watching and i will tell other people not to watch. gary barlow says it is about the singing and they let that twat goldie cheung go through, i hope sami does a gamu and gets a record contract without having to go through all the trouble of the contest.

I have a feeling that Melanie is going to be the fourth girl through. Jade hasn’t been confirmed yet.It is between her and Jade and I have a sneaky feeling that Melanie is going to get her chance. Two irish girls in the same category though? Who will they vote for? Melanie or Janet? Isn’t Melanie from Dublin? She will have a strong regional fan base…Will it be a case of ‘this regional vote ain’t big enough for the both of us”. Risky tactic, but I want to see Melanie through.

I cant believe it either. His audition was the best I can remember seeing ever on X factor. The judges gave him a standing ovation and kelly was crying. Gary said he sang from the heart and you could feel every word.
So why the hell is he not through?! He is better than all the guys put together, and acts like Kitty, Goldie and that weird skinny guy with glasses are all through.
Lascel was the only audition I remembered along with that cute shy blonde girl and his boot camp was good.
These judges suck, and at least the judges last year did pick the best acts along with the wacky ones. This year its just wacky and average ones.

I think it is about time they changed who gets which group.. instead of boys, girls, groups and overs.. all the judges would decide on 32 acts, then pick 8 each out of a box, i think is fairer and would be more interesting.. Someone mentioned bringing cheryl (or someone else maybe) in at the last minute to choose from the ones rejected.. wouldn’t it be poetic justice if one of those won? lolol
I think anyone out there that cares about these great acts should speek up now before it reaches the t.v next week, john adams and lascal woods needs not to memtion jade richards needs to be in the live finals for this year to be really entertaining

Lascel was the best singer by far in the auditions. He is a league above all the other guys.

I’ve read on the net that the judges weren’t allowed to put Lascel through. Apparently a video of him has been found on a hardcore porn site so it was a no!! In the same story, it said about Sian being replaced because of her prison sentence, so some truth in that?? We all now know that Sian has been replaced.

Maybe the confusion between Melanie and jade is because both got through. Amelia was the one rightly given the heave ho.
I can’t stand Samantha brookes!! She doesn’t have the “look”, is old, her eyebrows are painted on & waaaaay too high! She looks like a whale on stage & walks like a walrus.. She plays on the fact that she supposedly had no confidence… I would have much rather Terry go through for the overs.. As for Kitty- I want to slap her every time she opens her mouth to speak!! To sing on the other hand- she is not so bad!!
Well looks are just 5% of what really matters in an artist. I think that you’re whole idea about Samantha is wrong because you’re judging her by the looks.
Do this: close your eyes and just listen to her singing and compare her to the others Overs and then you’ll see that she’s the best singer between those 8! That’s what really matters (or should matter) in this competition

Everyone is beautiful, fat, thin, small, tall and so on… judging someone based on how they look on the outside says everything about you as a person.
Susan Boyle shocked the nation when she walked onto the stage of Britans got Tallent. People watching were practically laughing at her, they soon stopped when she opened her mouth and sang so beautifully. Now she is a star!
No one is perfect, and I am sure there are things not so perfect about you. How would you feel if someone started calling you because of the way you look? Especially considering you do not even know the person your judging.

this is so funny… would yis stop arguing over who is through to the live shows, Melanie is so super talented and she deserves a place. so what if janet and melanie make it through? is it not better to have two irish stars rather than one? double our chances of an irish win. and about the whole ‘oh jades back to college’ ‘oh jades dropped out’ shut it! Sure some of the x factor stars last year went back to school/college before the live shows to keep people guessing because its in their contract that they arnt allowed tell if their true!

1) 4 acts from each category are reinstated and mentored by a fifth judge
2) Each of the judges lose their current category and are given a new one??

I don’t think Jade didn’t get through because of her size, beliefs or what ever else is being said. I am a big fan of Jade, but this is because of the air time she has had. The show has minipulated its viewers into liking certain acts, giving them air time – as a result these people get fans like us – then we get a big shock when they don’t go through.
We are talking about it, its in the news – Xfactor gets what it wants!!?
I think the girls catagory was very talented this year, I would say atleast 6 of them deserved a place in the final. Its unfair for the public to give abuse to Kelly as her job was to pick 4, don’t forget she has seen alot more than we as viewers have, and I think out of all of the judges she has the hardest choice.

To be completely honest im not sure abot that list. For one if john wilding isnt put through then something is seriously wrong. His audition was amazing and the look on garys face said it all. Also melanie and sophia are good but theey cant touch jade she is immense

Jade is through to the live final and is living away from home. Jades mum has been down to London yesterday to take some of Jades belongings as she left her laptop at home and her mum wants her to continue with her college work when she can just incase nothing comes from the Xfactor.

Jade Richards does make final 16 infact she is put through second by Kelly, the final decision is between Misha and Melanie.
My cousin is best mates with Sonny Tahkar the M.D of Syco Music and Jade has reportedly been approach by three different labels already and Kelly always thought she was one of the strongest singers on the show and this year Simon and ITV have advised the judges to base the winner on “The Voice” not the look, I am guessing to to give the show some respect before the BBC bring the show “The Voice” to our tv channels next year.

There are NO wildcards. Each judge gets 4 acts through this year making it 16 in the final.
XFactor ITK and xfactor insider do you really believe we the british public are so gullible ? Of course there are always leaks but not from people such as yourself ! It would be more than your job and reputation are worth. Yes Melanie is now doing very well with the bookies and yes Jade has now gone down slightly with the bookies but this is all just rumours and not based on facts. Thanks XFI. I don’t have to justify myself to anyone. I worked on XFactor between 2008-2010 & have also been part of the editing process on BGT during the same period. I am no longer working on XFactor this year, but I still have my sources. I am currently working on a new film project. My name is Dan, but that is all I can tell you. Anyway, the list I have provided in from a ‘RELIABLE’ source, but like any source it may not be 100% correct. But I am led to believe that the final 16 I have listed in 100% genuine and true. Believe it, don’t believe it. I posted this last week. You will see soon enough. I will know in future not to bother.

What a joke this show is becoming, how John Adam’s is not through to the live finals is a joke. It’s not about finding the best talent, it’s about them doing what they think makes a good TV show. Do they not realise people would watch more if it was taken seriously. I won’t watch anymore after John Adams was not put through and his voice is way above all the boys that went through. They even put contestants through that made mistakes in there auditions! it’s a joke! I say ditch the judges and let the public vote from the bootcamp stage.
From what I was told, John Adams had problems with his voice which is why he missed out on the final 32..hense why he wasn’t given much screen time at bootcamp. I thought it would have got a mention though. Having said that, the editing has been very suspect this year. It would never have happened when I was there.

I must admit I haven’t see a lot so far, but from the small clips I have seen….And I like backing a dark horse, I would go for James Michael. He is very much in the Matt Cardle category for me, where he has music in his veins. He has a unique voice, he can play the guitar which adds a extra string to his bow & is a great skill to have for the live shows..that could have got him through. The ladies will love him. He is my outside bet.

Jade made Kelly and Louis cry at the audtions with Tulissa standing and Gary saying that performance would change your life. Then at bootcamp Louis was excited when Jade came out with the last group with Gary saying how good was that Jade after you’ve got the love. Kelly saying her voice is a beast and all saying that Jade does not know how good she is. Jade is with Kelly surely after those two performances she has to take Jade through otherwise it would be a travesty. Kelly even said to sammi it’s not about being a size 8 it’s about natural talent so let’s see justice done !!!! Jade has to make the live finals

Im afraid it`s true Jade does not make the live shows as according to the producers she does not “have the right look” this show is turned into a joke. All 16 finalists and 16 who were knocked back are staying in London at the moment until this weekends shows are shown.

Like I said, I worked on XFactor between 2008-2010 & during the same period was also part of the editing team for BGT. Hi, I have read some of the comments and thought I would make a contribution. I am very close friends with Melanie & for obvious reasons she has been told to keep quiet on the outcome; especially with the media. But, I can assure you that Melanie is through to the lives. I know this because I already have my tickets booked for week one of the live shows. I can’t wait.
It ain’t looking good for jade from a betting point of view ladbrooks are 16-1 she was 6-1 the other day . Think the bookies know something.
Ok I’m getting sick of people saying that they have sources and know the parents or are very close friends with some contestants, blah, blah, blah… All I know is that there are only 4 finalists and according to all spoilers and people who have connections and sources, there are like 6 or 7 girls in the live shows, which is pretty ridiculous!!! The only thing I still haven’t read is that Hollie and Sarah are through to the live shows because guys I swear that I read people claiming all the other girls’ names as finalists… Be honest and don’t be silly!
I wish both Jade and Melanie go to the live shows but if one of them doesn’t go it’s not the end of the world! There are some very good girls this year and Kelly doesn’t seem like she’s stupid so I think she’ll choose what is the best and even if I don’t completely agree with her, I still think she’ll not make bad choices. Melanie has a great vocal range & her editing this year hasn’t done her justice or any favours. Either way, Melanie will get the short straw. If she goes through; she is going to be made to look the scape-goat & it would appear as a Jade Vs Melanie showdown for entertainment purposes. If this happens, I won’t be best pleased. I won’t go off on one though like some!! It isn’t Melanie’s fault that she hasn’t been given the screen time she truely deserves; nor is it Jades fault on all the screen-time she has had.

Guys. This Jade v Melanie thing is doing my head in. Whatever the outcome it is neither Girls fault. The producers have edited the show in such a way that it suggests Jade was always gone make it and melanie not (she has only had 52 secs of air time to date). My feeling is that Melanie has always impressed Kelly, from the brief snippets and feedback I would guess it’s the whole package i.e. looks, voice, drive, commitment etc. Someting she would have herself. Maybe Kelly insisted she make final 4 and the producers did not want her so hense the crappy edit in a hope to get rid of her early. Jade has a great voice no doubt but I think she may have been up against Amelia as they are simular. Think about it Jade picks pink, so does Amelia. Same genre one stays one goes.

The best we all can do is to wait for saturday and sunday. I wish Jade and Melanie were through to the live shows, they are both phenomenal but maybe Jade didn’t go to the live shows I think it wasn’t because of Kelly Rowland but because of the X Factor producers.
I want to believe (however naievly)that Kelly has judges veto. I don’t know the woman obviously but I know her background (hard work, drive etc.). I would like to believe she would have the integrity to stand her ground for the girls she believes can make it and not bow to the producers lust for controversy. Saying that the producers probably run the shop at X-factor. If this is the case I predict the show will be gone by 2013. People will think is there any point voting it’s already been mapped out.
I want to believe that, too. However, it’s too hard to watch Kelly on television crying after Jade singing Someone Like You, saying that «she’s a beast» and that her vocals are incredible and then she doesn’t take her further in the competition. I hope the spoilers are wrong but even if she’s not through, I’m still going to watch the live shows because there will be some great contestants and life goes on. Hopefully, Jade will get signed for a very good record label!
I think maybe Melanie is through looking at the odds now. However her odds may have changed due to all the gossip and the bookies have panicked with money going on her. For certain there will be controversy over the girls picked this weekend.If Melanie is picked I hope it’s because she is outstanding in the judges house audtion and can’t be ignored rather than underhanded producer decision.I have to admit that from what we have seen I can see potential but have not been blown away by her vocals(however, anyone can be made to look ordinary with crafy editing – even an established star). My gut tells me there is something special with this girl, but only a full audition and not the 10 sec ones we have seen to date will tell if she has a fighting chance or not.

Honestly, I wouldn’t be surprised I jade doesn’t go through on Saturday. We all know how controversial the x factor producers like to be. Just look at how they embarrassed Ceri 2 weeks ago. Well anyway I think this list is correct. Every year I play a game with my family where we guess who will be the final 12 or final 16, and XFactorITK’s list from last year was completely correct, because I got 12/12 LOL!

I think it’s telling that kelly rowland said at bootcamp re melanie “I think she is phenmenol”. I mean Kelly would have been to and taken part in literally 100′s of auditions, for her to say this is telling. She knows what it takes and sees it in this melanie girl. I predict people will be pleasently surprised when she is seen this weekend.

It would be a bit too strange if Jade doesn’t go through. I think Melanie is a bit anoying and so it is Janet. Anyway, I don’t care about who goes through as far Jade does!

I don’t know, it’s something that I can’t explain. I mean, Melanie is not a bad singer, but is one of those singers which will not make even the top 8, it is just pointless to put her through. And you have some very good examples from past seasons. The only 2 girls who actually stand a chance are Jade and Janet and Janet is soooooo boring! LOL
I respect your opinion. All I have to say is we have seen exactly what the producers want us to see. I will reserve my judgement until I have seen 10 minutes of the girl ala Janet, Amelia, Misha and Jade. I think that is only fair.

Melanie is outstanding really is and would love both her and Jade in the finals. But we have to get away from this image thing. Simon cowell wanted Noel Gallagher as a judge offered him serious money and guaranteed Noel full reigns on what he wanted. I never believed Noel would actually do the show but he definitely would have Jade in the finals. He would not have allowed being told what to do or who to put through etc. If Jade has not made the finals through image or she wasn’t prepared to change her goth image then fair play to her for that. The public like that something different and the x-factor needs to get away from this certain image and stereo type. It should always be down to the voice and vocally Jade is definitely not a one trick pony. So what she’s not a size zero ! So what she likes a drink and has tatoos. If she is not in the finals it’s not the end of the world I think she will get a record deal and prove the powers of x-factor were wrong……..
I’ll probably be attacked for saying this but looking at the vocals again and giving Mel McCabe the benefit of bad editing (she had the crowd stunned in manchester for one night only). Of Janet, Amelia, Misha, Janet and Melanie I think Janet is the one least ready for this. No doubt she has a distinct voice which is refreshing but I think she falls back on her mini yodel at the end of every second song line which I think she does because the judges go gaga for no paticular reason when she does it so she does it too much when it should be a surprise used less. She is young and I feel for her and I hope this show does not eat her up like so many acts before.

Judging by ‘judges houses’ previews Sophie Habibis could be sneaking in from left field unnoticed after the first song spoilers were released. Sophie was dubbed flawless whereas Melanie left them wanting more (in a not quite there sense). Obviously there is a second song for each to impress, probably sunday nights show. Jade not mentioned in the spoilers so don’t know where she stands after round one. This is turning out to be intriguing. Sunday nights show will be finger biting for sure.
And also basced on how well they did i think Estrella could be going going to the liveshows not 2Shoes so there is a big possibility that the final 4 groups are The Risk, Rhythmix,NuVibe, Estrella

Am I one of the few that would not be surpriseed if Jade Richards didnt get through. She is not a pop star and I cant honestly see who she would appeal to. She has a good voice, but she reminds me of Michelle McManus from a while ago. Remember her? Where is she now – and that is my point.

Popidol – X Factor – same thing really. My point is that unfortunately a very significant part of pop is image and I dont see where Jade would fit in. Especially as they are trying to find a Global star.
I think this image thing is so over rated now ! It really should surely only come down to the voice and if you have that talent. X-factor constantly says they want that something different so what’s wrong with Jade !! I like that when your pleasantly surprised by someone’s appearance compared to there vocals. Of course eye candy is nice but not over and over with no substance it gets so boring. So what Jade isn’t a size 8 and has tatoos that’s her so why change her. I like the way she seems to stay true to herself even if that means her being eliminated and not making the live finals. I actually think she will do better if she doesn’t make the finals than some that do in the future.
I may aswell pin my flag to the mast regarding the girls. My final four would be: Amelia; Jade; Sophie; Melanie. I think that is a strong group no glaring weeknesses but I think if the producers have their favorite these girls would take votes off eachother and an unfavored act might benefit. But I still think my list would make every weekend an event and exciting.
I don’t agree that Johnny Robinson will be a joke act, Johnny can sing very well just with a horrid tone and pitch but we’ll see tonight if Louis picked a good song for him because he picked You got the love for wagner at JH which was setting him up to be a joke

As regards Jade – I agree it is about the voice, but unfortunately it is also about image. Look at One Direction, they are not particularly good singers but they appeal to the teenies so much so their tickets sold out within minutes this morning. There are tons of singers that can sing, but who have failed to make a commercial success with their careers, and in this time of recession record companies will be more interested in the numbers sold. By the way, not too keen on Miss Devlin either – too like Ellie Goulding for my liking. As to who will win, I think it is wide open this year as I dont see too many that have really stood out. Much as I hate to admit it, Look at the US X Factor – there are some SERIOUS singers/performers on there!!!!! (even though the panel are rubbish – I dont really miss Cowell or Cheryl Cole)
Totally agree with everything you say but still feel that this a show that should help those with talent rather than let the show destroy them. Adele the biggest thing currently on the planet she paid her dues and now look. Someone like Jade just needs that kinda push in the right direcion. I would rather someone who is not the norm go and win x-factor just to freshen things up

After watching tonight< I have not changed my opinion – it was wide open. Thought Mischa was best of the girls – still dont get Janet Devlin, the charts are full of weedy thin singers and I just dont think she is particularly distinctive. Wasnt overly impressed with the boys either. Groups were very stereotyped apart from the 2 Essex girls. The over 25s the best were Sammi, Terry and Jonny. Miss Brucknell is this years Katie Wassel and will, I believe get voted out early (personally I think she is a bit unhinged). Cant see anyone particularly outstanding, and think that they will struggle to get a career from any of them. By the way, what is Sinitta – is she any use?

After tonights episode I’m confused at the edit. If the spoilers are correct and Melanie made it whats with the crappy edit. However her performance on xtra factor was scary good the control she has is amazing, if she just stopped the hand thing and was roughed up(in an edgy way)a bit she could be potentially phenomenol. I believe when Jennifer said: ‘her instrument is limitless’ she was talking about Melanie. She can hit quality low and high notes with consummate ease.
Melanie did get through, she’s one of my good friends and she told me about 2 weeks ago so everyone saying she didn’t get through shut up!

The overs are disgusting. Kitty? Goldie? Really? If Johnny can make a huge muck up and get through, so can Terry. The man could sing but Kitty is an annoying attention seeker and my opinion of Goldie is probably about the same as Gary Barlow’s.

Frankie has a weak voice and is annoying. Stick John Adams in anytime. Jade was probably taken off so that the show wouldn’t be too predictable, especially with the whole world trying to be Adele. If she’s in, it would be for the same reason. The overs are nonsense, and if Terry is out while Goldie actually got through with that Kitty brat then something is very very wrong. Melanie is good, Misha is good, Charlie from The Keys is good. I’m hoping for Amelia to win though because she has a killer voice.

As for the girls well if they put through who has been muted that’s three young blonde’s how predictable is that ? Jade brings that something different ! I partially agree about what you said. The thing is, is they want to have a shocker then they should send home Janet, because she is soooo boooring and she doesn’t stand a chance. The only girl who can actually win the show is Jade because she has that something different and current, I mean, she is not trying to be Adele, she has a very strong presence and has her own personal carisma, she doesn’t need Adele’s. Misha is very good and Amelia as well, but you have loads of singers like them… It will not be fair to send home Jade at this stage. It would be as unfair as having sent Rebecca Ferguson last year.
In what concern the boys, to be honest, the only one I actually like is Joe Cox, but I have read somewhere that he hasn’t made it. I really don’t like the others. Frankie is revolting. Max is annoying. I don’t like John Wilding’s style and his singing annoys the hell out of me.The kid who srewed on bootcamo but got through anyway is simply not ready for a competition like that.

All the judges reaction’s to Jade at bootcamp when she sang you’ve got the love surely said it all. Was very happy with the editing last night as Jade kinda got serious time with Amelia Janet and Misha I wonder if this says it all ? Unless x-factor have done this deliberate to create the shock factor. Even though Jade was not as good as bootcamp and her audition still liked reaction’s of beautiful from Kelly. Think Jade has much more to offer than some of the others. So c’mon x-factor practise what you preach and put through the talented ones

I think what we all have to bear in mind here is that the X Factor is not primarily a singing competition – it is a reality TV show. I am not surprised Jade Richards didnt get through – personally I think she has a good voice, but she isnt an Adele. If I was Jade I would go on Brtains Got Talent. I think Janet Devlin is overrated and an obvious Ellie Goulding double and many of the bands are derivative (the usual trying to be Urban boy/girl bands), apart from 2 Shoes. I think Louis managed to get rid of 2 of the best singers in the competition (one was later reinstated), and the boys were not particularly new or outstanding. I think the problem with this type of show is that while it produces the occasional star, a number of the series do not produce anyone with anything like a career. I also think it is easy to blame the judges for who they pick, but from the comments on here it is quite evident that not everyone shares the same opinion – so it is a ‘damned if they do, damned if they dont’ scenario. As for me, I wouldnt like to predict a winner this year – personally I fear it will be Janet Devlin, I hope it will be Mischa Bryan as that girl CAN sing.
The twist needs to be that each group bring back the most propular contestant, that should be john adams for the boys, jade richards for the girls, and then let tulisa and louis pick the nations favourite, not their own favourite, the overs and groups need to be changed or malgamated together as there just isn’t enough of them, the judges had a hugh problem (making) up groups just so that there would be eight groups going to judges houses, while serious talent were being sent home to accomdate this, this year saw some great talent and the judges ruined it, gary barlow is so far up frankie’s bum he doesn’t seam to care about the orthr boys as long as he’s got this guy who hasn’t got a strong voice

Max for me was by far the best. Check him out on YouTube, he plays guitar and writes his own songs, he just wasn’t given enough air time. But, like he said on twitter “it’s a tv show before a talent show”. I hope he does well regardless.

I think the twist will be a double/triple elimination. Presuming one act a week is to be voted off….it leaves 5 acts on Christmas Eve…So can’t see there being the live final on Christmas Eve as the winner’s single needs to be in the charts the week before ….therefore there will be six acts left ! So, there’s going to be a few double vote offs in time for Christmas.Can’t see any wildcards as there isn’t enough time between now and christmas …x factor would still be on after christmas and well into the new year ! I predict the first to go will be one of the girl bands and Kitty Brucknell x

This show is a joke! You have a girl category that could easily talent-wise have produced 8 live contestants.Four very talented girls were sent to scrapheap in the name of entertainment. I thought potentially Mel McCabe had the voice to be unbelievable given a chance, dissapointed she won’t get a chance to prove me right. I have a feeling though that she will be back next year – She seems the type that this is her life. I agree with Kelly though this year she looked overly prepared, if she just let go she could blow people away.

Was very disappointed with some of the judges choices, no way should sophie have got a place before jade or melanie. Felt very sorry for john getting told no for the second time, it was very unfair especially as he was one of the best singers in the boys category. I don’t rate frankie at all he is not a good singer. I really wanted jade and melanie through to the finals and gutted neither of them got through.

Worst show on the television and ratings will prove so this year. Louis Walsh has become a joke figure for money, and the quality of acts are through based on looks not voice. X Factor is dying and this year will be the end.

Not content with treating Melanie McCabe like crap the X-factor have removed a version of Melanie singing Beyonce’s Listen from youtube (which BTW is outstanding!). I think Melanie is better off away from these vultures, she has a future they don’t. Whe she makes it(and she will, too talented not to), it will make a mockery of the show.

agreed JJ. Melanie’s full ability was definately not shown while she was on the show. She has a LOT of potential and talent and I believe has won a few shows in Dublin also. I wish her the best and hope SOMEONE realises the potential in this girl.

Hi Leon, I can actually understand Sophie getting through, you can’t deny she has a great voice. I actually think that ironically of the top four lucky to be in the live shows it’s the shows favorite Janet (weakest vocally) that in my opinion has taken Jade/Melanies spot. Saying that Jade and melanie will probably benefit (though it may not seem like it now)in the long run just a hunch I have!
Jade = overrated on her performance at judges houses i wouldn’t of put her through although i do feel like she had a lot of potential she should of sang something showing off her ‘incredible voice’ but she didn’t belt it out instead semi-sang not exactly showing howmuch she wanted it. I don’t think Jade didn’t get through because of her size, beliefs or what ever else is being said. I am a big fan of Jade, but this is because of the air time she has had. The show has minipulated its viewers into liking certain acts, giving them air time – as a result these people get fans like us – then we get a big shock when they don’t go through.

I think the girls catagory was very talented this year, I would say atleast 6 of them deserved a place in the final. Its unfair for the public to give abuse to Kelly as her job was to pick 4, don’t forget she has seen alot more than we as viewers have, and I think out of all of the judges she has the hardest choice.

My take of acts that will probably go: Groups – Nu Vibe, but tulisa may pick 2 shoes because of the pregnancy (it may be too stressful excuse); Boys – James (in reality Frankie should be in this space too, but Gary will save him); Overs – jonjo (weakest of the overs, but Johnny may go if louis looks at the overall potential progression); Girls – the hardest oneto pick, Misha was outstanding she’ll stay, Janet (not my favorite but surprised me with a good enough performance, still just ok for me)will stay because Kelly thinks she is ‘mesmerising’ don’t get it, she will stay. That leaves Amelia and Sophie, Amelia: wasn’t her best performance but song didn’t help ditto with sophie (bit boring), but putting my neck on the line i’d say Amelia will be a shock week 1 exit (kelly likes Sophie too much).
