X Factor 2011 Final: Little Mix and Tulisa Contostavlos SLAMMED If I Ain’t Got You and Empire State of Mind (VIDEO)
Little Mix have been saying for weeks that they would love to sing with their X Factor mentor and tonight, they got their chance.
The girl group took to the Wembley Arena stage with N-Dubz star Tulisa Contostavlos and in front of almost 12,000 people, performed a mashup of Alicia Keys hit songs ‘If I Ain’t Got You’ and ‘Empire State of Mind.’
Tulisa started the rendition with the slower song, dressed in a stunning black mini dress with HUGE shoulders.
We have to admit, we were actually very impressed with her vocals, as after she bombed during her recent Children In Need performances, we were worried about Little Mix wiping the floor with her.
Things then got a bit more uptempo and the ladies’ take on ‘Empire State of Mind’ was just as impressive as the first section of the mashup.
It is obvious that Tulisa is used to sharing the spotlight as she gelled really well with her act. We actually kind of loved it!
Afterwards Contostavlos said:
It’s been an amazing experience, I really have met true, genuine and honest friends. They deserve this more than anyone I know.
Jade Thirlwall added:
We wouldn’t have wanted to duet with anyone else. It has been the most amazing day of our lives and we loved doing it with Tulisa!

Tulisa strained while singing. Compared to the girls who easily reached their notes. If the girls dont get through tonight it will be a shame
LOL Tulisa wasn’t even that good. Idk why people said she was amazing. Little mix were good though

Not that great, but they are popular with the public and that’s what gets votes…not impressed…looked like Tulisa was gasping for air and can’t hold notes….
