UPDATED: X Factor 2011 Final weekend: Song spoilers, teasers and lineup revealed!

The X Factor moves into it’s final stages this weekend and once again, we have tried to gather up as much details, teasers and spoilers about what lies ahead for all you avid fans.

On Saturday night all three remaining acts – Amelia Lily, Marcus Collins and Little Mix – will take to the stage and their performances will include one duet with their respective mentors – Kelly Rowland, Gary Barlow and Tulisa Contostavlos – as they fight to win a place on Sunday’s live special.

One act will be eliminated after the first show, with two hopefuls going on to fight it out for the title the next evening. On Sunday they will each perform a version of the winner’s single. The track has not yet been confirmed but at Thursday’s press conference, Amelia Lily confirmed that all three acts have recorded their own version of the same song and insiders suggested that bosses have chosen Damien Rice’s Cannonball as the single.

Song Spoilers:

Amelia Lily -
Lily will perform Tina Turner’s River Deep, Mountain High with her mentor Kelly Rowland.
She will also take on Christina Aguilera’s Ain’t No Other Man.
It is said that she changed her Christmas song at the last minute and will now perform Mariah Carey’s All I Want For Christmas Is You

Little Mix -
The girl group will sing a mash up of Alicia Keys’ Empire State Of Mind and If I Ain’t Got You with their mentor Tulisa Contostavlos.
They will also perform Florence And The Machine’s ‘You Got The Love.’

Marcus Collins -
The former hairdresser will perform Billy Joel’s ‘Always A Woman‘ with his mentor Gary.
He will also sing Outkasts’ Hey Ya.

The finalists will also perform a Christmas song each.

The series finalists – minus Frankie Cocozza – will be making a return for a final group performance which will be LIVE and not mimed! Also some failed auditionees – including Goldie Cheung – will also sing.

There will be various celebrity acts performing over the weekend and yesterday Westlife confirmed that they would be returning for their fifth live performance on the ITV show.

JLS, Leona Lewis, Michael Bublé and One Direction will all perform on Saturday night’s show, with Coldplay and Westlife taking to the stage on Sunday.

It has been revealed that former contestants JLS and One Direction will join forces to perform a duet. They will sing a mashup of their respective hit singles What Makes You Beautiful and She Makes Me Wanna.

It had been claimed that Simon Cowell would make a return for the final, or at least appear by Satellite, however it has been reported that he will only take part in a video Skype call on ITV2′s The Xtra Factor.

We will update this article as more details come in, so check back with us regularly.

In the meantime, what do you think of the song choices and lineup? Leave your comments below.

Duet with their mentor? If only Louis had not discarded his acts so carelessly…

1st time I have not looked forward to a final. Thank god after sunday it will be over. Looking forward to The Voice which hopefully brings music and talent back to the forefront of an entertainment show like this.

Hopefully ITV will suggest x factor takes a break and tell Simon Cowell to smarten up the show. Sick of the same format and the obvious fix factors that are becoming more and more evident every year.

If any justice on Sunday Little Mix or Marcus will win but of those two I do think Little Mix are probably the marketing winners. Marcus will likely go the same way as Joe McElderry.

That is an amazing idea… poor Amelia tho!!

What a cop out. I know Gary, Tulisa and Kelly have all achieved a lot within their genres, but it smacks to me of them having to rope the mentors in when they failed to secure any big names to duet with the acts. The most exciting aspect of the duets is seeing how awestruck the contestants are by the opportunity of singing with a megastar. Not sure about Amelia, but Little Mix and Marcus consider Tulisa and Gary friends now and are really comfortable with them, so there won’t be that same electrifying atmosphere. I was shocked at how bad Kelly Rowland was live last weekend, so I don’t envy Amelia…

Also think it’s a shame they’ve reverted to recording one winners single. The acts are all so different and I thought it worked really well last year that they were able to sing songs especially selected for them and tailored to their strengths. Naff end to a naff series!

I think that it’s good they are singing the same song.. last year the song Rebecca had lost it for her and i think this way it lets them all sing their own version which lets them show their originality!

  5. rose says:

Personally, I am tired of all the ‘props’ they overwhelm the songs. I believe Amelia is singing without any. It can only go in her favour

  6. Brandon Lei says:

I don’t believe it would be fair if Amelia Lily won as she missed for weeks of potential elimination. Little Mix have been consistant and should be the first girl group to win. As for the song choices, they could be better but truth be told I’m actually more excited to see Michael Buble return to the show for another performance than I am to see the actual contestants.

  7. Vincent says:

I think that Amelia Lily has the best individual song choice while Little Mix has the best duet song choice. It’ll be interesting to see who comes out on top. Amelia Lily FTW!!! :)

  8. RIP X Factor says:

Hard to believe this final line up…. these acts are not the best of this years crop… If this programme is to continue to ask the public to pay to vote then the judges carry on needs to stop and the public vote published each week…. Maybe the BBC’s Voice being on will make a difference….

  9. Bobs says:

Thanks for inoturdcing a little rationality into this debate.
