X Factor 2011: Girl group New Shoes impress at bootcamp
This year is rumoured to be the year of the groups on The X Factor and one duo in particular is reported to have stood out at bootcamp stage.
Insiders say that female pop duo New Shoes wowed the judges in bootcamp with their strong vocals and though nothing has been confirmed as yet, an insider told Unreality TV that the celebrity panellists would be crazy if they passed up the chance to take the pair to judges houses at least.
Describing their act on their Facebook page, the girls – Charley Bird & Lucy Texeira – wrote:

I love this duo. saw them at marcos in rayleigh. Down to earth with big vocals and brilliant personalities nothing
flash about them, just genuinely nice gorls working hard to earn a living. Loved Charley Birds voice was very memorable. seen her with a band as well on her own at a festival in kelvedon singing her own material and she blew me away. wish new shoes best of luck if any two girls deserve it they do. from Basildon I think
Hi,We attended boot camp on Thursday and watched both the morning session and the afternoon session.
All I can say is,although New Shoes were OK,there are far better groups this year.
The Keys are very good and two of the groups that the judges have put together,especially the young girl group who’s name escapes me.

this article is about botcamp auditions so probably a different audition and song. I thought the bands were all
good . I did really like new shoes , they are a duo so that
is different , id really like to hear them sing a ballard. the blonde one has an amazing voice would love to hear sing
very soulful and deep voice. I wish all the bands alot of luck for the future, think as well as boy and girl bands of 4 and 5s a duo is needed or it seems to many bigger bands . but whatever lots to look forward to in the bands competition. a friend was at 02 arena and wembley and said new shoes at arena were amazing, apparently gary loved the blonde one think thats charley birds voice . but my friend didnt like their song choice at wembley so i guess alot goes on right song choices. good luck everyone hope i get tickets
I see these girls at a restaurant a few months back. The blondes voice is amazing but the brunette is pretty average and a bit karaoke sounding. Hope they do well tho as pretty girls and were really nice!
I’ve seen New Shoes perform several times now and I loved each and every performance!
Both Lucy and Charley are down to earth girls that bring something different to the music industry. Although they’ve not been picked up just yet, I’ve never doubted they’d get somewhere and hopefully they do through the X Factor.
Both girls have their own strengths and I think it is unfair to say one is pretty average compare to the other, when they work together as a duo very well.

I love the blonde ones Just like Jesse James video on you tube, shes got alot of hits on that and is very country, apparently Celtic Thunder use her voice on their album and concerts but use a girl lip synching Charley Birs voice. Looks like she has a good following on her voice in the
states. She did the vocals on Baby its cold outside with Ryan Kelly from celtic thunder and that went down a storm in the usa.as a celtic thunder lover I wish they had taken her on tour, she is amazing. I’m not keen on the song they are singing in the video above but look like a good match looks wise and voice wise so be interested to see how far they go and wish them lots of luck from Ireland.
These girls (both of them) are sensational, I could listen to them all day long.
Their voices are outstanding.
They will go far no matter what happens.
I love the song in the video, I was there when it was performed and it left the hairs on your arm standing up.

I checked her out after I saw her and she has her own website. I liked them together because there
they seem the most down to earth girls who don’t even realise how good they are. The dark one has a bubbly personality and they seem very at ease together. My wife
loved them and I think she liked the fact they were curvy, not flash and just loving what they do. Their voices go together well and are well worth hearing. I’d like to hear the blonde one recording. She appeals to an older age group with that husy voice just my cup of tea but don’t tell the wife. !!! Glad they are through and looking forward to seeing them as Abba again!!
These girls deserve every success. They have worked hard to get where they are and they BOTH have great but different voices which together create a phenomenal sound. Saw them at bootcamp and I think they bring something refreshing and different to the groups category. YOU GO GIRLS!!!!!!
New Shoes are fantastic. Love everything about them. Normal, best friends trying to make a living both with distinctive voices that blend in together. Gorgeous, curvy, funny and friendly I really want them to go far. Could have both gone solo as voices good enough but together love them
and when I met them loved the fact they are not showy offy
and so warm and not cocky. They look different, although what you could call essexy both very stunning girls with
a different look each, faces that you would look again at. Big, busty and beautiful faces, not the skinny snotty up your own backside sort of girls. so thrilled for them. Best Friends with the Best Voices
I have seen new shoes perform on more than one occasion and yes, there voices are different from each other but one is no better than the other. They compliment each other. What a great thing if we get a decent duet on X factor, serious singers,look what we have had in the past.I hope they get through.
Great news to know we may see New Shoes on X Factor. Seen them both individually over the years and both hugely talented. Not only that but they are great normal girls, not from money,funny, sweet, always time for everyone and

Both this two girls have done alot for charity. Lucy has been judges for St Lukes and Charley did charity work
for Basildon Council appeals. Love the fact they have always been passionate about singing and both individually
strived and never wanted anything else. They will go far
whether on this show or not, whether individually or not.
Couldn’t be more pleased for two special beautiful kind hearted girls. May seem very essexy an some won’t like that
but when people get to know them they are the most lovliest gorgeous girls both of them. I wish them such luck but they wont need it if they just themselves.
See them playing live at the Chequers pub in Wickham Bishops this Friday 9th September 2011 at 8pm, not to be missed!!

another new shoes out there. just loved their audition. and the fact just the not trying to be anyone else. and wow they can sure sing. the mum had me in hysterics, she got carried away with the whole thing and was so wanting it for her daughter she lost herself in the build up . i kept replaying and laughing and laughing. best tv for a long time, that mum of 2 shoes is a legend
