X Factor 2011: How amazing was John Wilding tonight? (VIDEO)
John Wilding made his big X Factor comeback tonight and it was a pleasure to see him on the stage.
The 18 year old singer appeared on the 2010 series of the show, and after wowing the judges at his audition and then bootcamp he made it to Dannii Minogue’s judges houses in Melbourne, before being dropped from the lineup.
This year he’s back and has invested £10,000 in his appearance, just in case that played a role in his failure last year.
This summer Wilding returned to London’s O2 Arena, and this time impressed a brand new panel of celebrity judges, when he belted out Love You I Do by Jennifer Hudson.
His rendition was astounding and we’d forgotten just how strong a voice John has. He has a fabulous range and displayed it well, he also worked the stage competently and seemed totally self assured and confident throughout his performance. We weren’t at all surprised when the hopeful was greeted by a standing ovation from both the judges and the audience.
JUDGES COMMENTS:
Gary Barlow: Oh my God! I have got to tell you that was absolutely sensational. Thank God you came back. Congratulations.
Kelly Rowland: You have such a great beautiful gift, you belong on a stage baby.
Tulisa Contostavlos: John I love people like you. I love people that get knocked back and they don’t take it as a negative. They take it and they use it to push themselves, to better themselves. you have come on that stage today, fatre a whole year and you have blown us away.
Louis Walsh: I loved that audition, I love the fact that you’re a fighter. You got knocked down and you came back. Nobody can sing Jennifer Hudson, so for a guy to sing Jennifer Hudson and hit every note was incredible.
He won himself a place in bootcamp, and if you want to check and see if John made his way to judges houses once more, this time with Gary Barlow, check out our spoiler list of final 32 contestants.
