X Factor 2011: Little Mix SLAMMED En Vogue’s ‘Don’t Let Go’ (VIDEO)
Little Mix took Kelly Rowland’s advice to heart tonight and performed a song by American stars En Vogue.
The Destinys Child star had previously compared the girl group to her idols and said that she wanted to hear them singing something more vocal based and acapella this evening.
So Tulisa gave the girls ‘Don’t Let Go’ as their Movie Week number, a song taken from the soundtrack of the film ‘Set It Off.’
They emerged looking fierce in black and white business like outfits with a twist and from the first note, totally slammed it!
It was fantastic rendition and the harmonies, as Kelly predicted were tight and controlled. We also liked the fact that for the first time, we really got a feel for the girls personalities and what type of act they may develop into after the show.
It was their best performance to date in our eyes and it seems that the judges agreed!
LOUIS WALSH: It’s incredible how much you have grown and blossomed. We’re looking at the next big girlband in the UK. Go all the way girls!
TULISA CONTOSTAVLOS: Girls can i just take the time to express to the nation how proud I am. You really went for it tonight.
KELLY ROWLAND: Tonight everything I’ve been wanting you to do, you’re doing. You look so much more polished, you sound better and OMG I am so happy. You could be the best girl group to come out of the UK.
GARY BARLOW: That was your best performance to date. Brilliant! But I have one request and next week we will have two songs next week and I want to see something more stripped back.
