X Factor 2011: Misha B cries with Kelly Rowland about absent mother before singing ‘I Have Nothing’ (VIDEO)

Misha B took on a massive song on tonight’s X Factor show, as she delivered her version of Whitney Houston’s ‘I Have Nothing’ for Movie Week.

The Mancunian singer has found herself in the bottom two twice now and was obviously hoping that a more emotional number, would help her win people round and connect with voters so that she wouldn’t end up in the same spot tomorrow.

In a bid to reinforce the fact that Misha is indeed human, she and Kelly were seen crying together on tonight’s show over their estranged parents and childhood struggles. We don’t know if it will make people like her more or less, we know that lots of viewers hate the whole sympathy ploy thing.

Finally, the diva to be got to singing and took on Whitney Houston’s ‘I Have Nothing’ from film The Bodyguard.

She looked every part the star in a floor length white gown, however the rendition of the song was nowhere close to her best. If someone else had performed it, we may have been kinder because the vocals were definitely good. But Misha can and has done so much better on the ITV show and we were left feeling a little let down tonight.

JUDGES COMMENTS:

LOUIS WALSH: Every week you bring something new, I want people to vote for you because I want you here next week.

TULISA CONTOSTAVLOS: Misha I don’t even know where to start. How beautiful you look tonight, what an amazing voice you have. You blew me away you really did. That was a beautiful performance, it really was amazing.

KELLY ROWLAND: Misha I thought tonight was a great performance, your delivery was so great. I am so proud of you!

GARY BARLOW: I can’t tell you how sad I was last week to see you in the bottom two. I completely disagree with every person out there because I can’t believe that no one is voting for you. The other thing that makes me sad is that it’s affecting you, your song choices and your performance. i think you’re being too safe. I want Misha B back the way you should be. If you’re going to go out of this competition, go with your integrity!

Misha B’s performance was fantastic tonight. She is absolutely spotless and it no wonder the judges find it difficult to criticize her performance.

  7. topdog says:

You know its not nice to say Mischa would be looting in london with the rest of her friends. I feel that comment is a personal dig the whole country could have joined in but some of us were civil enough not to.
Nobody is pefect and people can change and move on from their past mistakes and become a better person. We all have some sort of skeleton in the closet and in life they turn up when you least expect it. I wish Misha every success even if she doesn’t win the x factor but she does deserve the opportunity to share her voice with the world. Bully or not!

  8. Sasha says:

Absolutely disgusting anyone would actually refer to Mischa as “looting” with her peers. Such ignorance its unbelievable!

  9. queen posh says:

it aint fair to sau that.. all races were rooting.. and nobody knows how its like being black when ur other races.. STOP RACISM LOVE MUSIC… judge her not rooting n her colour…

What surprises me is that people like Cheryl Cole commited crimes when they were adults, however the public forgive her and call her a national treasure. What crime did Misha commit? All contestants deny being bullied by Misha, plus they are not kids anyway. Yes, she admitted that she was bullied and she bullied others in primary school. For God’s sake she was a kid! If you forgive people who commit crimes as adults, why can’t you forgive misha for what she did as a child? Cheryl is free a national hero after battering somebody when she was even older than misha. Tulisa herself is the biggest bully, and she has even been involved in drugs, so why dont we judge tulisa on her illicit drugs abuse past?

What a rubbish she is Misha Bully. Using her mother to get publicity and public votes. Absolutely disgusting. Get lost drama woman

  12. Poppin n' Lockin says:

It baffles me how stupid the British public is, including some of the people who have commented on this channel. Not only could you people not comprehend the word ‘talent’ if it bit you in the a**, but you are easily the most nastily judgemental people in the world. If she cries it’s a publicity stunt to get votes. If she’s confident then she thinks she’s already won. She’s black & outgoing so she was obviously part of the riots. This is why nobody likes this country, and why British singers rarely ever make it to America. As far as I’m concerned, the British public lost their credibility and their right to vote after they kept voting in Frankie.

  13. MaryUSA says:

Great performance. She looked great. I agree with Gary, she needs to be herself. She has tons of talent – and she’s not even the type of performer i follow. To pretend these stories aren’t done by every contestant is to hide head in sand.

I feel she’s real, had tough life, and has lots to learn – it’s called maturity -
