X Factor 2011 Results: Sophie Habibis voted off!

Sophie Habibis has found herself eliminated from The X factor this evening.

The 19 year old singer was dooomed from the moment she discovered she was in the bottom two with judges favourite Misha Bryan.

Somehow Frankie Cocozza avoided the chop and as Kelly’s two girls competed in the sing off, it was clear to anyone that Habibis knew she was giving her final performance on the ITV show.

Sophie’s performance on last night’s live show was slated by Gary Barlow, who felt like she was ‘dull as dish water’ on the X factor stage. Louis Walsh added that she looked like a ‘secretary’ who performed at the weekends, so it was no shock when she ended up in the bottom two tonight.

The brunette beauty took to the stage first, to perform Shelter by The XX. It was a mostly unknown song that can’t have helped her cause any. However, we felt that she gave a captivating performance and her vocal skills shone through. She wiped the floor with performers like The Risk and Cocozza but in the end it just wasn’t enough.

Misha was last to sing, giving a powerful rendition of the Kings Of Leon classic ‘Use Somebody.’ It was a stripped back version and it was lovely to see the Mancunian star showing her vulnerable side and performing without the backing dancers, the huge rap breaks and the wacky costumes. The tears at the end seemed genuine too, though we’re sure that there are some who will accuse the young singer of crying for effect.

After the sing off, Kelly Rowland was allowed to vote by phone and the judges said:

LOUIS WALSH: I am going to save the person with star quality, who can go on to be a star, the person I have to send home is Sophie.

TULISA: The truth is I don’t think either of you deserve to be in the bottom two. Sophie I have always got along with you and I have a big connection with you, Misha we have had our issues but me and you are cool now. I relate to both, I have to be honest and I have to go with who I most relate with musically, so the act that I’m sending home tonight is Sophie.

KELLY ROWLAND: This is so hard because I know how bad both of you want this and I have to be completely honest, the act that I am sending home is Sophie.

GARY BARLOW: I’m amazed and I’m shocked but the act I’m sending home is Sophie tonight.

Do you agree with tonight’s results? Do you think Kelly Rowland’s absence was to blame for her two girls being placed in the bottom two? Leave your comments below.

This is so disrespectful… shame on you UK! It seems that people don’t appreciate real talent now.

  2. missindividuality says:

Not watching x factor any more. It has lost a star. Keep going Sophie. You never needed the X factor.

  3. Cori says:

I cannot believe it! Fix much? Haha, it should be called the fix factor.

  4. KK says:

Its appalling that Misha and Sophie were even in the bottom two. Frankie should have been out. Not watching this stupid popularity contest ever again.

  5. hOLY cHEEZE says:

    FIX FACTOR!!!!!

  6. RB says:

Yeah…I think I’m done now. Sophie was my favourite, followed by Misha (who won’t win now).

  7. RantingGirl says:

Honestly x factor has lost one of its best singers. A true recording voice, ousted because its a popularity contest. It should be about the voice. Sophie should get a career without XF because she DESERVES IT!!!! SHE SHOULD SHOW THAT CRUDDY SHOW THAT SHES BETTER THAN THEM!!!! Am only going to watch for Janet, Craig and misha now, the only actual talent left.

An incredible recording voice is lost. STUPID JUDGES!!!!!!

  8. Hu-huh says:

People, put a sock on it. We all knew she was going! It wasn’t news to me.
What I can’t stand is that Frankie is still in. But I guess girls like androgynous, skinny-to-the-point-of-starvation guys. Maybe that’s why.

  9. AshM says:

Sorry but Sophie couldn’t sing and wouldn’t have won, correct result, Misha B could be a potential star and a winner.

  10. rose says:

Sophie has a lovely tone when she sings. Misha shouldn’t have been in the bottom two anyway.
    Misha to win.

  11. charlie says:

sophie and misha shouldn’t of been in the bottom two this week , personally i think it should of been frankie and kitty ,frankie’s voice is weak and he shouts to reach some of the higher notes and kitty gives the shock factor tulisa said that may be so but i always the thought it was a singing contest…

  12. Debs says:

Frankie was booed by the audience who knew he should have gone this week. I knew he’d stay as he has so much support from the under 14s. Of course it’s not about talent any more. Tulisa did her best to get the most talented performer off the show with her ill advised remarks last week

  13. Deej says:

This show is on its final legs. This is ridiculous now – Sophie had an amazing voice with raw potential and a stunning voice. Kelly gave her awful songs, and she did the best with them. That slimey, gruesome, ugly little Cocozza is still there.
I’m sorry X factor, but you cannot take yourself seriously when you’ve eliminated Joe, James, Amelia and now Sophie, whilst Frankie still sits soundly on in the Top 9.
I believe it’s a fix, they pimped Frankie as much as they could and barely screened Sophie at all.

No commitments next Saturday night, anyway.

I CAN’T BELIEVE IT!!!!! Is this really true!?!? Fankie has been kept in the competition and Sophie sent home!!! C’mon UK!!!!!!

BTW, I said in the beginning of this season, that Misha will never win, and tonight public vote made my point!

Still sick because of Frankie still in the competition!

  15. Saffia says:

Sophie had a wonderful voice, and there was a place in the music market for her genre…. Still cant believe that Sammi, Amelia, Nu Vibe etc have been axed while Frankie, Kitty And Johnny are still sitting pretty… I blame the public just as much as the judges… I personally would never buy an album from either of those three but loved Amelia’s voice, and thought Sammi was something else entirely… Yet again let down by manufacturing machines… On a plus note I thought ‘little mix’ were amazing this week!

  16. Leanne says:

Frankie and perhaps Johnny should have left.

Sophie has a BEAUTIFUL recording voice. Amazing job on her last song. Looked like she meant business. I would buy her album. But on this show we seem to want to be entertained. She was a stiff statue. Her mentor should insisted she move around on the stage. She always looked like a deer caught in the headlights. I was a bit turned off when she spoke out rolled her eyes at Louis comments. Bad move I thought.

I think judges comments make a difference in the votes. Tulisa’s bullying story was not great for Misha. The devil costume didn’t help.

  17. Leanne says:

Kelly’s song choices were all slow. A contestant’s future is at the mercy of one judge’s opinion. I hate the competition between the judges. I would prefer if there was a way that the judges could work together to help the contestants. And that an outside panel of recording executives could vote – I’m not sure about public opinion with all the young girls i.e. voting for Frankie.

  18. Harry says:

Its got nothing to do with the people who vote. X Factor loves pulling the strings on everyone in the show.

  19. lesley says:

Sophie was a good singer as good as any of the others, kelly is to blame as far as I am concerned, I expected Janet and Sophie to be in the bottom two after the songs they were given. Everybody goes on bt Misha as if shes great, i dont think so, their have been plenty of singers and show people as good as her who have gone in the past. That was an act on the show this week wanting sympathy, dosent wash with me, they all try it on.
I have watched the show for years and this is the worst, I will not be watching the final if things dont improve, the deciding vote, people and not the panel!

  20. John says:

For me the problem is not saving Misha and not Sophie (I personally prefer Sophie they are both very good singers). The real problem is keeping Frankie while some really talented acts have already left he competition.

People blame the judges a lot but I think that the worst “judge” is the public, honestly.
