X Factor 2011: The Risk give a tuneless rendition of ‘Crazy’ (VIDEO)

The Risk became bookies favourite to win The X Factor, after their performance on last week’s ‘Love and Heartbreak’ show and tonight, they returned to bring some of their attitude to rock week!

The four piece manufactured boyband – who are mentored by N-Dubz star Tulisa Contostavlos – admitted before taking to the stage that they have found the theme hard to work with and told followers:

Been a tough week. Really hope we can pull it off tonight. Thanks for all the love and support xxxx

Tonight, the band took on ‘Crazy’ by Gnarls Barkley and from the start it was weak. The harmonies were off and the nerves seemed very obvious. It didn’t improve much as the track went on, and for us, this was definitely their worst performance to date.

We predict that by tomorrow, they will no longer be anywhere near favourite to win!

JUDGES COMMENTS:

LOUIS WALSH: Well boys I loved it last week and I love it this week. It’s not exactly hard rock but I love the harmonies and the way the four of you sing. There is not just one or two singers in this band. There’s nothing not to like about The Risk.

TULISA CONTOSTAVLOS: Guys I’m not going to make excuses for you, but it has been tough. You’ve had two days to learn the song and Ashley you’ve been really ill and I was worried. It wasn’t your best performance but you pulled it off and did the best you could do with that song.

KELLY ROWLAND: Guys I must admit I did like last week’s performance more but the more I look at you guys, the more I’m really excited for your future. And Tulisa, high five mama. You guys definitely have to work a lot harder on your vocals.

GARY BARLOW: Guys I watched the dress rehearsal today and I was worried for you but you totally pulled it off tonight. There is a great work ethic in this band that lots of the other contestants should learn from.
