X Factor reject Kitty Brucknell strips bare in a photo shoot for this week’s heat magazine.
Asked how she felt to have been voted off the ITV show, the 26 year old from Cheltenham, said: “I’m relieved. And a bit gutted. But I think in the grander scheme of things it’s OK. I came into the competition the most- hated contestant ever, and I don’t think I’ve left that way. It was inevitable that I would go in the sing-off, because Misha’s a better singer and more marketable.”
She added: “I’m just such a f**king weird person. I’m too weird for The X Factor.”
“I’m extremely annoying. But I’m also very passionate and professional. And you can’t have one without the other.”
Commenting on tension between her and Misha B, Kitty admitted: “We’re both very ambitious, and we’re both very determined people. We had to agree to disagree and not talk. We just said, “Look, we’re both really determined to win, so let’s be competitors, and then after the show we can see if we can be friends.””
Speaking about the moment she met her icon Lady GaGa, Kitty revealed: “What she said
to me was private and personal, and not to whore out to the press. But she was very inspirational; she gave me a lot of career advice. We got f**king wrecked in her dressing room. It was funny. But it’s private – [otherwise] it’s star-f**king.”
On her body image, she said: “When I was 16, I got really stressed over my GCSEs. I got really skinny. But I took it to extremes. I was eating, like, one yoghurt a day. But I looked f**king amazing. That was the problem – I didn’t think that I was anorexic. The problem is, it’s not natural to be a size zero. I love food – I couldn’t do without it – so I started eating properly again.”
On Botox: “I first had it back in 2009, after I’d had lipo, and it was just the best idea ever. I’m really pleased. I was really worried that I would end up with frown lines, like my mum. I think Botox is a good thing. I had lipo when I was 24. I always wanted it, ever since I was, like, 16 or 17, because I hated my body. So I begged my mum for lipo, and in the end she was like, “Well, if it’s going to make you happy.” It’s the best thing I ever did.”
“I hate what I see when I look in the mirror. I want to look thinner and I don’t want my cellulite.”
Kitty has been with boyfriend, Derek [Gorman, 31], who she met at a Britney Spears concert, for six months. She says: “We really like each other. I think love’s a really strong word. We haven’t even had sex. I like taking things slow and I’m quite old-fashioned. I didn’t have sex until I was 24. I just didn’t meet the right guy.
She added: “Honestly, music is my boyfriend at the moment.”
