Craig Colton promised that he would deliver a ‘cheeky’ and ‘uptempo’ song on tonight’s X Factor show and we were elated with the news, as previously he’s been all about the ballads!

Gary Barlow admitted that the Liverpool lad wasn’t sure about the track at first, saying:

Craig has another amazing sing this week but he wasn’t sure about it, when I gave it to him. He’s very tough on himself, he just needs support and that’s what I’m there for.

Tonight the former biscuit factory worker took on the recent Beyonce hit ‘Best Thing I Ever Had’ and we think he was right to have reservations.

He didn’t do badly but his voice didn’t suit the number and it showed all his weaknesses and as far as we are concerned none of his strengths.

Craig should have shone tonight, he can totally rock an emotional ballad, it should have been a safe show for him but what happened in the end was that he ended up giving his weakest performance to date……Bad Gary!

JUDGES COMMENTS:

KELLY ROWLAND: Craig you have a beautiful voice but for me, maybe I’m biased but not the best song choice but you still delivered a great performance….you can’t deny that.

GARY BARLOW: Well done you are in a league of your own mate. I thought the song choice was absolutely perfect. I know you’re enjoying your newfound fame and all your followers, you deserve it…well done!

TULISA CONTOSTAVLOS: You have such an amazing voice and no matter what song you sing that is plain to see. I have to say, in rehearsals, when I heard the song choice I was worried but hearing you tonight you did an amazing job. You’re versatile so well done.

LOUIS WALSH: Craig you did it last week and this week, a brilliant interpretation of a Beyonce song. A very, very brave thing to do Gary but it really worked. People really love you and you deserve to be on that stage.
