Alesha Dixon has insisted that she will not be joining the X Factor judging panel this year.

The former Strictly Come Dancing judge made her ITV debut when she sat on the panel of Britain’s Got Talent this year and it had been rumoured that Simon Cowell was so impressed with her performance, that he asked her to replace Kelly Rowland on his other talent show.

However the singer and dancer has claimed that she wouldn’t accept a job on The X Factor, as it would appear ‘too greedy.’

Speaking to Metro, she revealed that she hasn’t been asked to join Gary Barlow, Tulisa Contostavlos and Louis Walsh and explained:

‘I haven’t been asked and I couldn’t do it anyway. It’d be too greedy.’

However, the brunette beauty is hoping that she will get a second chance on BGT and continued:

‘I’m hopefully going to be back. It had its best ratings in years.’

Kelly Rowland announced last month that she wouldn’t be returning to The X Factor and over the past week, Rita Ora, Geri Halliwell, Nicole Scherzinger and Leona Lewis have all had a chance to take her spot on a guest judge basis.

It was reported that Dannii Minogue had been offered her job back on the show and was asked to return when her Australia’s Got Talent duties wrapped up, however some sources said she turned down the role just days before last week’s Liverpool tryouts.

Dannii fans shouldn’t give up hope though, as when Gary Barlow was asked if Dannii might be coming back later this summer at yesterday’s London auditions, he told Metro:

‘Well, you never know…You never know…’

The dad of three also revealed that the permanent judge would be announced very, very soon, continuing:

‘We’ve had a few hints but we’re not completely sure. I think we’re gonna know any day.’

It had been thought that Minogue refused to return to the ITV show, because bosses wouldn’t meet her £500,00 pay demands and because she was angry with Simon Cowell and revelations about their former fling in his biography.

However, it seems coincidental that guest judges have been filling in while she has been working on AGT and likely that when she finishes filming for the Australian show, she could return to the UK for bootcamp and judges houses.

A source previously said: ‘If they can work around her AGT filming, she could make it happen.’
