X Factor 2012: Amy Mottram, Christopher Maloney, Times Red or Adam Burridge to return as wildcard
The X Factor final 12 have been chosen and three from each category will now progress to the live shows, however, as always there was a twist on tonight’s x Factor show.
We knew there would be some sort of wildcard element this year but instead of allowing each judge to bring through an act each to the next round, it was revealed that while each panel member could suggest a singer, only one could progress on the series.
Dermot O’Leary revealed:
“This year each judge is bringing a wildcard and it’s down to you to decided which one goes through.”
The lines opened this evening, after it was revealed that Tulisa wants people to vote for Amy Mottram to rejoin her category.
Meanwhile, Gary Barlow is backing Christopher Maloney to go through, Nicole Scherzinger wants to see Adam Burridge making his return, while Louis Walsh would like to see Times Red bringing some older group vocals to the live shows.

Bad choice tonight, Gary. Our family is backing Christopher Maloney all the way. Surely this emotion is what makes Christopher’s performance stand out from all the others? We love your style and are already looking forward to buying your first album, Christopher. Go for it!
gary barlow a disgrace does he know anything about music,robbie williams is better than him.christopher maloney was the best out of them all lastnight,he might suffer from nerves,the 3 times i saw him on the xfactor he never made one mistake.when he sings he leaves all the nerves behind him ill be voteing him all the way hopefully he be picked on the wildcard.go go christopher vote for him
the acts are very good in the ones who could come back except times red
So disappointing! I mean, all the fuzz about the wild cards and in the end they chose amongst the poor acts they have put through to judges houses. They disposed of Joseph Whelan (the best male singer this season) and of Jade Richards (for the second time in a row)… what a shame. This season will be awful and I hope the ratings will keep decreasing. JADE RICHARDS TO WIN THE VOICE!

What a surprise, Gary eliminated his best act, who will now receive the wild card so Gameplay Gary has got 4 acts in the final. We all know if Melanie had been the wildcard she would not have been voted in by the public.
well our intelligence has been truly insulted this time ! What a disgraceful way to treat Christofer Maloney who many believe to be the best voice in the contest. I too am coming round to believing that the result is fixed from the start. Come on Chris, win the wild card and make Gary Barlow look the jerk he is becoming .
Please voters..vote for the talent, don’t go for the emotional side and the real life stories element, not the best looking side, listen to the raw talent and those that have the x factor to become stars like leona lewis

Our intelligence is being insulted but you’re falling into their trap. You’re right many considered Chris a strong contender, hence why Gary put him as the wildcard, knowing that everyone would spur him on into the final 12/13 this way Gary gets all 4 acts, he knows if he put Melanie as the wildcard, she would not generate the same response and Gary would only get 3 acts.
Some bad decisions all round but if you are looking at who will sell records (which is the point of the show after all) it has to be Times Red. They were by far the best group and multi-talented – aside from their looks all three can sing, one can play guitar, one can beatbox and the other plays the piano – if you check out their youtube you will see what I mean…!

i will be absolutely sick if chris gets voted back in. im sick of seeing his face and im sick of his crying fits all the time hes NOT THAT GOOD EVERYONE. amy or times red definitely MUST go through. please if there is any justice in this world!

why is everyone thinking that it was between melanie and chris for the wild card.
melanie was put through because she can sing beautiful range of vocals and always has a smile on her face.
she deserves to be put through i would have been dissapointed if she didnt.

Amy Mottram or Christopher Maloney should definately be given a chance – difficult to choose between these two, but if pushed I’d go for Christopher, as Amy is very young and can come back again with the superb voice she has.
Anyway, roll on Saturday!

Kye was average at judges houses he is the one to blame for chrises failed attempt to get in the live shows Kye cant sing to save his life
if people want christopher to win like i do pick up the phone and dial his number i think it is going to be very tight between him and amy. i am phoning every day until saturday. so i won’t get the blame if amy gets through and christopher doesn’t. i think the final will be christopher and ella.
X Factor is not popular in my country – we don’t have that show
