X Factor 2012: Are these the songs the final 12 will be singing on Saturday?

OK, so Twitter has been buzzing tonight with a reported songlist for Saturday night’s X Factor show.

Some users are tweeting that they know a number of tracks which the final twelve will be taking on during the first live show, after one fan of the show claimed to have a friend in the backstage production crew, who has overheard some of the contestants rehearsing.

Of course, we have no idea yet if the list is correct (though if any of these tracks are performed on the show we will so be following that girl!) but assuming it is, we want to hear what you think of the judges song choices.

Have a read of the list and leave your comments below….

Union J tweeted “as long as you love me” the other day; since the Week 1 theme is “Heroes,” it seems a safe guess that they’re singing Backstreet Boys.

Kye, he actually begins in the audience watching the boxing match, and then him and then gets into the ring, where there is a dance performance with the chorus of black and gold.

The Underground party is Carolynne Poole’s set for Mr Know it All. She is having an argument with her boyfriend in the club, as he thinks she is chatting with the other guy. and then she breaks into the song, and the police are involved. He embarrasses her.

Ella Henderson is playing with a Piano in her performance, and is just her and the Piano. Nothing else. It is a very emotionally intense performance, and is a completely different to the original, it is a stripped back ballad.

Lucy Spraggan has only kept the chorus of Pumped up Kicks and has added in her own verses.

James Arthur has also slightly edited the lyrics to the streets part of his song, and plays his guitar,

Rylan’s performance is meant to be insane, and is incredibly OTT. Evacuate the Dancefloor has got a whole new meaning. The Egyptian theme is only part of the surprise1

Melanie Masson’s performance was meant to actually be one of the stand outs of rehearsals, she got the biggest production and her vocals are on point.

MK1′s performance has a tribal theme, and Jahmene’s version of Bight White Room has got a more gospel feel with a choir.

Jade Ellis’s version of Marilyn Monroe has 3 key sections to it. It begins with a reggae.soul feel, and has been stripped back in the middle. There is then a massive dance break down, where she is with an estimated 20 dancers on stage. The finale is then brought back to a soft, emotional moment,

Union J has transformed Lights into a massive pop number and the chorus has been made even bigger, it is like being in a concert arena. There is pyrotechnic lights during the performance.

District 3, originally GMD3, apparently showed better vocal skills since working with the coaches. The 3 guys now have more singing time individually and their harmonies are on point. They each have a girl that they are singing to.
