X Factor 2012: Author says Simon Cowell ridiculed “comical” Gary Barlow & Sports Personality of the Year won’t clash with XF final

Our look at X Factor news today begins with a claim from author Tom Bower – who of course penned unauthorized biography, Sweet Revenge: The Intimate Life of Simon Cowell – that Cowell has consistently ridiculed X Factor judge Gary Barlow, and branded him “comical.”
The Mirror reports that Bower wrote, “The announcement that Barlow would receive an OBE for arranging the event added to his irritation. ‘He chased that madly to get three initials after his name,’ he carped.”
Bower also claimed that Simon was furious with ITV boss Peter Fincham for re-hiring Gary for a second run on X Factor, as he believed the Take That singer was trying to build an entertainment empire that could rival Cowell’s own, SyCo.
The author added, “The ambitions of Barlow, he believed, were comical…
“Ever since Barlow had clawed his way back after a disastrous attempt to become a solo star, Cowell was niggled by his conviction that Barlow was bidding to establish a rival entertainment empire and, like Paul McCartney, secure a knighthood.
“He enjoyed snubbing the man who foolishly asserted that he was the top judge, not Louis Walsh, by texting his criticism about Barlow to others.”
And apparently, keen to ensure that Gary realised which side his particular bread was buttered, Cowell allegedly sent him a note which reminded Gary that he was “on the payroll” and was therefore obliged to follow Simon’s instructions, adding, “that’s what you’re paid to do”
However, a spokesperson for Simon insisted yesterday, “This biography is unauthorised.”
Meanwhile, Gary Lineker recently urged ITV bosses to ensure that this year’s X Factor final didn’t clash with the Sports Personality of the Year Awards.
Taking to Twitter to make his plea to the broadcaster, Gary tweeted, “Be a lovely gesture and mark of respect to our wonderful athletes if X Factor didn’t run against SPOTY. What do you think @SimonCowell?”
He later added, “It’s not a question of who gets most viewers but those that love both shows, don’t have to choose @SimonCowell #specialyear”
But in response, an ITV spokesperson told the Mirror, “There will be no clash and there was never a danger of that.”

So accoding to Simon Cowell Gary should ov be sacked but ITV stood in his way and said Gary should stay Gary and Simon are always going to be each others thoats
But other reports say Simon’s dream team include Garry, louis, Cheryl and Dannii and he doesn’t like TULISA AND NICOLE!
Personalley I think its just hearsay and speculation and therefore if you want your questions answered then I think you ask Mr Cowell himself so he can clear up the rumours.
oh people please, come on! this is all the usual x factor PR hype machine spinning it’s cogs to keep itself in the press.
OMG! Another shit publicity made by Simon Cowell himself! First, he wants to suck Gary. ITV rehired him and get more money! NOw, jealous of Gary’s OBE! Yes, Simon…money can’t buy everything! and now telling he’s dream judge panel Gary with Louis, Cheryl and Dannii! Next time…he would tell the world, that he’s f**king inlove with Gary and he wants to marry him!
