With the latest series of the X-Factor set to start this weekend Paddy Power have opened the betting on the winning judge.

The bookmaker makes newcomer Nicole Scherzinger the 15/8 favourite to win the series at her first attempt followed by Tulisa Contostavlos who’s at 2/1 to make it two in a row.

Gary Barlow is 3/1 to improve on his second placed finish last year while the ever present Louis Walsh is the 9/2 outsider to win the show.

Meanwhile, Paddy Power have also opened the betting on the winning category with the ‘Girls’ and the ‘Boys’ considered the most likely winners at 7/4 with the ‘Groups’ biting at their heels at 3/1 and the ‘Overs’ at 4/1.

Paddy Power said “We’re expecting the girls to have a big impact on this year’s show, Louis and Gary may be the underdogs coming in to the competition but should they get one of the better categories they’ll be right back in the mix.”
