X Factor 2012 bootcamp: Christopher Maloney shines with ‘A Million Love Songs’ but Carolynne Poole is crying!
Chris Maloney and Carolynne Poole were both featured on tonight’s X Factor show and thankfully – since they are both favourites of ours here at Unreality TV – both totally shone when they performed for the judges.
Both singers are in the overs category and both made it as far as the last day of bootcamp, after performing well the day before with their respective groups.
Chris took to the stage first tonight and when Gary Barlow asks if he’s nervous, the shaky singer confesses:
“This is the last opportunity that I’ve got to turn my nerves into something positive.”
He added:
“I’m going to sing for my life. I can’t let my nerves get the better of me. Hopefully this is my time.”
It seems that Tulisa at least was impressed with his performance of Take That’s ‘Million Love Songs’ and afterwards she raves:
“That’s what you call stepping up!”
Gary Barlow added:
“What a voice!”
Chris loved his time on stage too and told Dermot O’Leary:
“I loved it- I’m making a show of myself aren’t I…”
Next up was Carolyne Poole and Tulisa asked:
“Are you feeling confident about today’s performance?”
The former Emmerdale star admitted:
“I’m not going to lie, I’m scared.”
“If it doesn’t work out this time, I won’t come back to X Factor next year. It feels like I can’t go through this again but right now the fights still on.”
However her performance more than met expectations and after she received a standing ovation from the waiting crowd, Poole breaks down in tears.
She said:
“I’ve been working at this for 15 years and it really does mean the world to me.”
Do you think Carolynne’s performance was good enough to win her a place in the next round? What about Chris? Leave your comments below…
Meanwhile, as we prepare for the judges houses episodes of the show to air next weekend, Unreality TV have put together out predictions for his year’s X Factor final 12. Have a look and tell us if you agree!
