X Factor 2012 bootcamp: Did Melanie Masson & Union J sing their way to judges houses?

The X Factor’s final bootcamp episode aired on ITV1 tonight and desperate to make it through and onto judges houses round were band Union J and stay at home mum Melanie Masson.

As the group took to the stage first, Nicole Scherzinger asked:

“Why do you do feel you all have the X Factor?”

The lads replied:

“The Blend that we have as a three I think is something different that isn’t out there at the moment.”

Next up was mum of two and self confessed fair Melanie. She previously impressed the panel with her powerhouse voice at her initial audition and speaking to the judges again on tonight’s show, she said:

‘This is the biggest opportunity I have ever had in my life and probably and probably my last chance to really shine.’

She added:

‘Everything rides on this, I want to sing like it’s the last song I will ever sing in my life. I just want to do my best.’

After her performance amazing performance of ‘A Change Is Going To Come’, Nicole didn’t give much away and just commented:

‘Good job Melanie’

As she left, Louis Walsh mused:

‘I think she can sing better songs, but I think its all there. I think the potential with Melanie is all there.’

Do you think Mel’s performance was good enough to win her a place in the next round? Leave your comments below…
