X Factor 2012: Caroline Flack insists bosses have not launched a manhunt for Robbie Hance
Robbie was featured on last night’s episode of the ITV show and was seen wowing the judges with his impressive rendition of Damien Rice’s ‘Coconut Skins’. The judges raved about his talent but seemed more focussed on the fact that he was homeless at the time and living on the streets of London.
It was reported in the weekend newspapers that although Hance did turn up to bootcamp, he lost touch with staff after that stage and insiders claimed producers were frantic with worry when they tried to contact him through a friend last week, only to fin he had went off the grid.
Xtra Factor presenter Caroline insists that things are not quite as dramatic as they are being portrayed by the press though and speaking on This Morning earlier today she insisted:
“There is a lot of concern for Robbie but no, it’s not a big massive manhunt.”
“The producers got in touch with him last week, they did speak to him but they just couldn’t get hold of him over the weekend to tell him his audition was on.”
“This isn’t a case that he’s completely gone missing, it’s just a case of that they could not get hold of him.
“So it could be a case of that he just didn’t have his phone or maybe he hasn’t got a phone at the minute…they still haven’t got hold of him, but I’m sure he’s okay, they just want to hear from him.”
Caroline revealed that fans of Robbie should tune into watch him perform at bootcamp this weekend, because there will be some big developments in his story. She said:
“He does make it to Boot Camp and there’s a massive story with him next week which obviously everyone will see.”
Our guess? Gary Barlow has adopted him and he is now living in Barlow Manor, with his own personal chef, butler and cleaner obeying his every command. Who would want to go back to the X Factor after that!
