X Factor 2012: Charlotte Reavey & Sharon Rose impress guest judge Leona Lewis
The X Factor focussed heavily on the groups this evening, bringing to the fore many of the talented bands that had tried out for the ITV show this year, however there were also a fair few very accomplished young female singers who also made the grade.
One of the teenage hopefuls who showed up this evening was 17 year old student Charlotte Reavey, who delivered an emotional and accomplished rendition of the gospel song ‘His Eye Is On The Sparrow’ for the panel.
Former X factor winner Leona Lewis was acting as a guest judge on the day and raved about Charlotte’s performance saying:
“That was so stunning, it is one of my favourite songs….. that was so amazing!”
Gary Barlow enjoyed the performance too and added:
“Four yeses, well done!”
Following Charlotte to the stage was 21 year old waitress Sharon Rose who sang the much performed track ‘At Last’ by Etta James, but managed to do it without boring us to tears.
As the crowd erupted with applause, Lewis asked:
“Have you ever had a reaction like that before?”
She added:
“Wow, this competition needs a diva and I think we found one. Your voice is stunning, every note was perfect…. I really enjoyed it. It was a brilliant audition!”
Gary continued:
“Flawless vocals, four yeses, congratulations!”
Did you enjoy the ladies performances tonight? Do you think they’re good enough to get to the live shows? Leave your comments below….
