X Factor 2012: Cher, Beyonce & The Killers to perform on final
Simon Cowell is reportedly pulling out all the stops to make sure this year’s X Factor final is a star studded affair.
We recently reported that Beyonce would be performing on the shw with Ella Henderson, if the teenager makes it to the last show of the series and this morning it’s being reported that she will be joined by singing legend Cher.
Insiders say the X Factor boss got the idea after the ‘Mermaids’ actress tweeted that she had been moved to tears by Ella’s rendition of ‘Believe’ at bootcamp. He realised she was a fan and apparently was straight on the phone to the 66 year old star.
As well as Beyonce and Cher, it is thought that the music mogul also signed Brandon Flowers’ American rock band The Killers to perform with one of the finalists this December.
The Mirror reports that the “Mr. Brightside” hitmakers will put on a mini rock concert for the audience, in the second part of the final.
An insider said: “It’s an X Factor tradition to get great names for the final and Simon was determined to pull out all the stops. Fans won’t be disappointed.
“Cher is a legend and The Killers are massive. Everyone’s thrilled. There’s something for all musical tastes.”
So far, if these acts come off, we think Cowell has done a stellar job of lining up some acts that are definitely different to the usual team of SYCO singers that show up week after week.
The Killers in particular should be interesting to watch, though we can’t imagine some of the contestants singing with the rock band. Chris Maloney, Lucy Spraggan, Rylan Clark? We can’t see it ourselves can you?
What do you think os the reported lineup for the final? Do you think it will prove to be a ratings draw? Leave your comments below…
