X Factor 2012: Cheryl Cole hits out at rubbish Girls Aloud manager Louis Walsh!
The pair may have worked together on The X Factor, but it seems that Cheryl Cole has no loyalty to her former colleague Louis Walsh.
Chez shot to fame initially when she won a place in Girls Aloud, after the band were created through the ITV1 talent show Popstars The Rivals in 2002.
She was joined in the band by Nadine Coyle, Sarah Harding, Nicola Roberts and Kimberley Walsh and the group were supposedly managed by show judge Louis Walsh for the next year. However, they dropped him as soon as their contract allowed.
On why the group didn’t continue working with the Irish star, Cole has claimed that he called them fat, never spoke to them and didn’t really manage them at all….but that didn’t stop him from taking a cut of their money.
The ‘Promise This’ hitmaker lashed out at Walsh in an interview with Marie Claire (check all the photos on Styleacking), firstly when talking about her weight. She insisted that she never diets anymore, since she was called fat back in the band’s early days by Louis.
“I try to avoid diets like the plague. That can get you into a vicious circle. I did when I was younger. Louis Walsh had come out publicly and said, ‘They’re all fat. They all need to lose weight.’ And the record label sent us all to have training.’
Cheryl has been spotted filming her new video looking trim and toned so whatever she is doing it seems to be working!
She then went on to criticise the Westlife boss for the lack of involvement he had in her career, while she was paying him and added:
“We never had management. Louis claimed to be our manager but he never did it. We didn’t talk to him or anything like that. He just took a cheque.”
Cheryl seemed somewhat close to Louis while she sat beside him on the X Factor panel, but it seems the whole thing was an act, because she claimed their relationship was always a business one and it doesn’t sound like she has much respect for the older star. Cole went on:
“I talk to him because now I get that business is business and that’s how he runs his. But he never chose a hit.”
“Who chose them? Us. It could be the key to our longevity because it was genuine – we never had media training. Everything was raw and real. The only thing that was different was that we were put together through that process.”
We can’t wait to see what Louis has to say about all this! It won’t do his credibility any good, especially after he just signed up for another year on The X Factor…Watch this space.
In the mean time, we have some great pictures of Cheryl recording her newest music video in America. She is definitely looking as hot as ever and you can check out the photos for yourself here.
