The Sun is running a story this morning claiming that Christopher Maloney was reprimanded this week by X Factor bosses, because of some of his backstage antics.

The newspaper reports that the 34 year old hopeful has been throwing his weight around behind the scenes of the ITV show and that his dramatic behaviour caused one staff member to pull him aside and warn him about how he was treating people around him.

A show source reportedly said:

“Christopher is not making many friends.

“He was out of line with a researcher and he’s been warned by top brass that he needs to wind his neck in or he’ll get the shove.”

Chris admitted earlier this week that he was having a hard time on the show, due to the many negative reports that are doing the rounds and also, because his beloved nan is quite ill.

We spoke to the Scouse star yesterday and we have to tell you, he couldn’t have been nicer or more friendly to us. We also spoke to some of his former colleagues and friends while chatting on BBC Radio Merseyside last week and they couldn’t have been more horrified by the diva reports, telling us that Chris has always fitted in well with a crowd and is a very humble guy.

During our chat with him, Chris responded to claims that he faked his nerves for his audition earlier this year. He insisted that he is still terrified, but manages it better now, saying:

“It’s just negative, and it’s hurtful, for my family as well. It’s part and parcel of [the X Factor] but I’ve still got feelings, and it is hurtful.

“I’m still nervous now, and I just feel like my confidence is being knocked all the time.”
