X Factor 2012: Christopher Maloney takes Olly Murs back to life in a call centre after wowing the judges!
Before rising to fame on The X Factor, Olly Murs spent his days cold calling customers from a packed call centre and the Xtra Factor host is going back to his roots on tomorrow night’s show.
The 28 year old ‘Heart Skips A Beat’ hitmaker hailed from Essex and worked in a number of admin jobs, before he auditioned for the ITV show. He has since toured the world and rubbed shoulders with many stars but at X Factor auditions earlier this year, he got chatting to one of the hopefuls and decided to find out more about his life.
Christopher Maloney told Murs that when he isn’t singing, he’s working in a cubicle at a Liverpool call centre and after wowing the judges at his tryout, the 34 year old hopeful took Olly along to meet his workmates and see first hand how he spends his days.
Chris is no doubt hoping that he can follow in Olly’s footsteps, as in just three short years the star has released three number one singles, two top five albums and has not only appeared in his own UK tour but also supported One Direction in a number of their US concerts.
All that and he’s landed a pretty sweet presenting gig on The Xtra Factor!
The Xtra Factor returns tomorrow night, September 8 at 9.10pm and follows the X Factor kain show again on Sundayat 9pm on ITV2.
