X Factor 2012: Christopher Maloney thinks Kye Sones & MK1 may have slagged him for press coverage!

Christopher Maloney has been having a tough time of late and he has thanked his fans for helping him cope with the stress and pressure.

The 34 year old admitted recently that he still feels like he has to earn his place on the ITV show, as he wasn’t one of the original final twelve singers to win a place on the live shows, but was added later as a wildcard contestant.

He has been plagued by diva reports since week one, when Louis Walsh said he had been acting up backstage and just a few days ago his so called pal Kye Sones claimed that he is very distant from the rest of the acts and sets himself apart from the others.

We can see why Chris would be feeling down after all that but thankfully, he does have some very supportive fans on his side.

The Liverpudlian has never been in the bottom two, despite being the bookies favourite to leave for three weeks running and on Twitter he is bombarded with encouraging messages and supportive tweets from fans.

He thanked them yesterday, admitting that it was their comments that were helping him cope with all the negativity. He said:

“Good nite all, thanks for all ur kind words of support, u really dont realize u have got me thru today. Good nite god bless xx”

The former call centre worker has been rehearsing almost non stop since Monday morning and is determined to do his mentor, Gary Barlow, proud on Saturday’s Best of British show.

He did take a short break on Tuesday night and joined the rest of the finalists and Dermot O’Leary for dinner in London. He tweeted:

“Evening, gonna stop rehearsals now, shattered, thanks 4 drinks an dinner earlyer @radioleary enjoyed it, i wont wear my gloves again lol :-)”

Maloney was asked by one fan why his fellow contestants – MK1 & Kye – are criticising him in the press, especially since Sones claimed as recently as Saturday night that he and Chris were great friends.

Chris admitted:

“maybe it wil get them in papers, really not sure x”

What do you think X Factor fans? Is Chris a victim of press manipulation or do you think there is some truth in the rumours? Don’t forget what Frankie Cocozza had to say about the whole thing!

  1. Lisa Burton says:

The Titanic has already sunk but Ella & Jahmene have been picked-up by a lifeboat.
Will have a peek via Sunday’s last 3 minutes of XF but aside from that have stopped watching. The obvious will happen & Tulisa has endorsed what I have said “I wouldn’t be surprised if Chris is in the final”!! Liverpool has already prepared the float & the day-off work booked.
My hard earned dosh went on Jahmene from the 1st week (e/w), so either way, I can raise a glass of champagne to Jahmene the OUTRIGHT WINNER OF XF 2012.
