X Factor 2012: Cian Morrin and sexy boyband On The Edge sing their way to bootcamp!
The X Factor bootcamp is filling up and filling up fast!
The fourth episode of the ITV series aired this evening and between it and spinoff show The Xtra Factor, we saw a whole host of new faces making their way past the judges auditions and onto the next round of the competition.
One of the talented singers who was featured on the main show was 17 year old ‘butcher boy’ Cian Morrin, who wowed Gary Barlow and co when he tried out in Liverpool earlier this year.
The teenager hopeful delivered a pretty feisty rendition of Come Together for the panel, which they loved and afterwards Louis Walsh raved:
“A small guy, only 17, but a great big voice. You’ve got great potential.’
Tulisa Contostavlos enjoyed his banter too and added:
“A cheeky chappy as well, the girls are going to love you.”
We would have to agree.
On The Xtra Factor we saw one of this year’s few talented groups and while Louis may have been lukewarm on ‘On The Edge’ we really enjoyed their audition.
The Vocal Harmony group took on Olly Murs’ hit single ‘Dance With Me Tonight’ and told the panel that as much as they wanted fame, success and musical glory, they were also craving a little bit of female attention. Typical lads!
After their tryout Tulisa told the boys:
“The energy was great and you all sounded amazing together.’
Gary Barlow wasn’t sure at first, but was won over and added:
“You looked like one of those tribute bands at first but actually it was superb and I really enjoyed the audition.”
We thought that being from Dublin would be enough to win the boys Louis’ vote but he complained that they were a little ‘dated’ and admitted he wasn’t ‘jumping up and down’ over their talent. He did see the ‘potential’ though and joined the rest of the panel in giving the band a yes.
