X Factor 2012: Gary Barlow slams ‘dated’ District 3 again after I Swear(VIDEO)
District 3 returned to the X Factor stage tonight, in the hopes that they could perform better and win more positive comments than they did on last week’s show.
While the judges didn’t dislike them, per se, Gary, Tulisa and Nicole weren’t exactly raving about their rendition of ‘Simply The Best’ and later, many fans expressed concerns about the cheesy direction in which Louis Walsh was taking them.
This evening, the lads returned to the ITV show and told Louis that they didn’t like his song for them again and complained that it may be seen as a bit dated once more.
The Westlife boss had chosen ‘I Swear’ by All 4 One, which was originally a big hit in the 90s and though the boys made the most of it and they did do a good job vocally, we hated the track.
They were right to complain to Louis but they should have put their foot down and refused to sing it, because this won’t help them form a fanbase or appear in any way current.
JUDGES COMMENTS:
Gary Barlow: I think you’ve had a really bad night tonight. The harmonies were off, when you watch this back you’ll be disappointed. The song was in the wrong key. That very last note was really as well. The song choice was very dated. In the battle of the boybands Union J have taken it tonight.
Louis Walsh: That was a world class performance, Gary you’re going deaf!
Tulisa: I understand why Louis picked that for you, because your strong point is your harmonies. I am going to face the facts here, you guys are competing with Union J, your strong point are your harmonies. They have charisma and strong individual singers but you have the harmonies.
Nicole Scherzinger: I agree with Tulisa, but I am going to be a little tough on you here. It was sweet, it was a slice of warm apple pie, I wanted you to chuck on some ice cream, shake things up, add some tabasco sauce. I need something else from you boys. I need you to rub oil all over your bodies and then sing the song like you mean it.

Find it disgusting that Lucy cries on tv over her grandmother…when you lose somebody who you love and is close to you the last thing you want to do is cry on tv./in public view..it’s private and should,nt be done. Bottom line is she agreed to it to get sympathy vote.. .programme is becoming a joke…no sounder it’s losing viewers….I,m even annoyed at myself for still watching it!!!!!??…
