Ella Henderson has admitted that she cannot wait to have her heart broken by some careless bad boy.

The teenage singer has made it through to the X Factor live shows, after impressing the judges at her first audition with an original song she wrote in honour of her late grandfather.

She believes that she writes better lyrics, when she is feeling a strong emotion, so despite having been fairly unscathed when it comes to love and romance so far, the pretty performed revealed that she’s hoping to have her heart trampled upon some time soon, so she can use the despair to make new music.

‘I haven’t’ been in a proper relationship,’ Ella admitted. ‘It sounds weird, but I can’t wait to fall in love and be heartbroken because I know I write the best songs when I feel strong emotions.’

We have a feeling that she might regret saying that!

Henderson also promised that she won’t be doing a Frankie Cocozza act as she hits the big time this winter and won’t go ‘off the rails’ because of all the attention and pressure that comes with the ITV show.

She told Look magazine:

‘I know exactly what I want to do and who I want to be. I’m not worried about going down the wrong path because I’ve got such strong support.’

‘I love a good party, but I’d never go off the rails. I’ve got too much grounding to do that. My focus is my music, I don’t want a bad reputation.’

Gary Barlow admitted today that he banned the show’s stylists from radically changing the appearances of any of his contestants on this year’s series and it seems that Ella also laid down the law when it came to her glossy makeover.

The 17 year old revealed that she has told the wardrobe team that she won’t wear anything too short, too clingy or too revealing, as she isn’t very confident about her body.

She said:

‘I’m not very body confident, so I told the show about my insecurities and listed things I wouldn’t do. I won’t get my legs out on TV because I don’t like them.’

We don’t know what she’s worrying about, because we think Ella is really rather stunning.

She’ll take to the big X Factor stage for the first time on Saturday night and we can’t wait to see her perform.
