X Factor 2012: Ella Henderson, Jahmene Douglas tipped to win – Christopher Maloney favourite for wildcard spot

Ella Henderson has retained her spot as bookies favourite to win this year’s X Factor series.

The teenage singer has been one of the favourites to triumph on the ITV series, ever since her first audition aired last month. However, after it was confirmed last night that she had made the final twelve and would be going through to live shows, William Hill have revealed that they are offering odds of 11-8 on her taking the title in December.

That puts her far in the lead of the two joint second favourites Jahmene Douglas and James Arthur, as Hills offer odds of 7-1 on the duo.

Kye Sones takes the third spot, with odds of 8-1, with Carolynne Poole and Lucy Spraggan coming in at 12-1 and GMD3 (who will soon be changing their name) taking the spot as the favourite group, with odds of 14-1.

It looks unlikely that Rylan Clark will become the 2012 X Factor champion, with Hills naming his an outside, with odds of 50-1, after his histrionics on last night’s episode.

Meanwhile, after the judges revealed that one of the rejected acts would get a lifeline and win the thirteenth spot on the live shows, Christopher Maloney has been named as favourite to take the coveted spot this weekend.

Ladbrokes seem sure the 34 year old will be the victor, offering odds of 2-1 on his triumph, with Amy Mottram and Times Red both joint second place at 5-2 and Adam Burridge trailing behind at 7-2.

Ladbrokes spokesperson Jessica Bridge said:

‘The odds suggest that Christopher Maloney will be given an eleventh-hour lifeline by the public.’

She added:

‘Ella’s level of popularity in the UK has gone through the roof and we might need to take bets on finishing second because she’s such a certainty.’

Ella is a brilliant singer!…..but Jahmene what can I say if he is this good when shy & nervous just think of his potential in the future….a star in the making mate….keep up the good work! Jahmene to win!!!

They’re all a talented bunch of people. However, whilst it is incredible what Jahmene can do with his voice, I couldn’t personally listen to him sing all day – i’d be a wreck by the end of it! For me, Kye is the most versatile and I hope to see that he goes far. Good luck Kye! x

It really P’s me off. That every week A talented singer is lost and has to go home.. Whilst Rylan Clarke ponces around the stage with the *Fun Factor*. He can’t sing, he’s rubbish. I’ll rip my hair out if Another talented voice goes and Rylan stays.

I love Ella Henderson, Lucy Spraggan, Jahmene and MK one.. I think Charlie from MK one would be better off losing Sim because her strong vocals over power his voice all the time, they’re great though. I think James Arthur and Kye Sones are amazing too. But I honestly think that Jahmene or Ella have the best shot at winning. And I dislike Union J. There not great singers and they don’t put much energy into there perfomances, there only getting Votes because of there looks + they resemble One Direction.. I think District 3 are good too but don’t have the best shot at winning. But seriously Rylan NEEDS to go.
