X Factor 2012: Ella Henderson loved Rylan Clark’s ‘diva hoedown’ – cried during Lucy Spraggan’s Tea and Toast
Ella Henderson has admitted that she love, love, loves Rylan Clark.
The model and singer has faced a hard time from viewers and former contestants of the show this week, after it was revealed that he had made it past bootcamp and judges houses. Joseph Whelan was eliminated and spoke out today, insisting that he had been set up and that Rylan couldn’t sing.
Speaking to ITV.com, Ella insisted that Clark despite the furore, she has been enjoying spending time with Clark and explained:
“I loved Rylan. That whole diva hoedown was hilarious. He was so much fun to be around at bootcamp. He’s a great guy. He hasn’t tried to spritz me with fake tan yet. That boy does love his beauty treatments.@
Henderson also enjoyed listening to Amy Mottram and her ‘soulful voice’ and added:
“Amy’s got a beautiful, soulful voice too.”
It seems that Ella got close to Lucy Spraggan when she travelled to St Lucia with Tulisa and the other female contestants and she revealed that she even got a private performance of the singer songwriter’s self penned tune ‘Tea and Toast.’
The track reduced audience members to tears when she performed it in Liverpool’s Echo Arena at bootcamp and it seems that Ella had the same reaction. She said:
“I was privileged enough to have her perform it for me personally in our hotel room during bootcamp. I burst into tears afterwards. It’s so beautifully written and very sad.”
Lucy recently revealed the inspiration behind the song saying:
“I was busking in town and this elderly couple walked past holding hands. Then the lady collapsed in the street and was unconscious.
“And the look on the husband’s face was like he’d never lost her before and he’d just lost her then.
“It was horrible and it inspired me to write a song — after I got them into an ambulance.”
