Ella Henderson has insisted that she won’t let The X Factor turn her into ‘a monster’ no matter how famous she gets.

The teenage performer from Lincolnshire wowed the panel on Saturday night’s opening episode of the ITV series and after singing a self penned number for the judges, former Spice Girl Mel B gushed about her ‘clever’ song writing skills, adding:

“It made me go into my own little world, and go OMG, I felt like that at one point.”

It hasn’t been confirmed yet but we’d be surprised if Ella hasn’t made judges houses and again, we think she’s a shoe in for the live shows but speaking backstage she insisted that she won’t let the experience change her at all.

She jokingly confessed that she can often be ‘gobby and loud’ but is determined to stay grounded and true to herself and to her late grandfather, who she named as her inspiration.

Henderson also revealed that she is single at present and for now, isn’t looking for a boyfriend as things are hectic enough. She added:

‘I think it will happen when the time’s right.’

The pretty singer also revealed that she is a huge fan of Gary Barlow, however she is also very fond of Tulisa after she came to speak to her backstage after her audition.

It’s lucky that she does like Contostavlos, as reports suggest that the former N-Dubz singer will be mentoring the girls this year.
