X Factor 2012 final spoilers: James Arthur replaces Jahmene Douglas as favourite to win!
James Arthur has been named the bookies favourite ahead of tonight’s X Factor final.
The 23 year old had been joint favourite to win, alongside Jahemen Douglas, since last weekend, having previously trailed behind the former shelf stacker.
Increased backing from celebs and industry experts saw bookmakers slashing their odds on him to win and this evening, William Hill have revealed that they are predicting the singer songwriter will take the title tomorrow.
They are offering even money on James landing the winner’s record deal with Simon Cowell’s SYCO, while Jahmene Douglas is now in second place with odds of 6/4.
Christopher Maloney is still seen as the outsider though, with odds of 9/2 on his triumph.
Bookmakers don’t think the winner will clear the result with a large margin though and are saying that this year’s final could be the closest ever seen on the ITV show.
“It is difficult to pick the winner, we have a load of bets on Jahmene and James from earlier in the series and this week it has all been about Christopher. The odds suggest that whoever wins will struggle to land the Xmas No.1!” said Hills spokesman Rupert Adams.
